Ch. 333The instant noodle factory

Shen Jin brought the survivors from three settlements into an agreement to relocate to Home No. 1, then led his group to a grain trading company to investigate its stored grain. He planned to handle the people there differently, since the grain was public property he was responsible for distributing.

  • Shen Jin left the burned No. 9 Villas settlement and led his group to Huarong Instant Noodle Factory.
  • Six Superhumans at the factory surrendered after seeing Shen Jin's well-equipped force and explained how the settlement shared food and cleared nearby zombies.
  • Shen Jin agreed to take the factory's thirteen hundred residents to Home No. 1 and charged them twenty percent of their noodles to transport their supplies.
  • Shen Jin decided to take the factory's instant noodle machines and have former employees restart production at Home No. 1.
  • Shen Jin's group passed through two more settlements, whose residents agreed to relocate, bringing the number of people to more than three thousand.
  • Shen Jin arrived at Jin'an Grain Trading Co., Ltd. and prepared to approach its residents and grain stores.

Ch. 334Watch out, I'll report you! No laughing!

Shen Jin’s group found eighty-one villagers from Sun Family Village occupying Q City’s granary complex, where they refused to disclose the grain stores and claimed the supplies as their own. Shen Jin ordered his people to control the villagers and inventory the warehouses, leaving them laughing at the captains’ threats to report him.

  • Liu Jin detected one Special Ability User inside the granary complex, and Meng San led Superhumans to surround the buildings and bring out eighty-one people.
  • The villagers identified themselves as Sun Family Village residents and said three former brigade captains represented them.
  • The captains withheld details about the grain supply, offered Shen Jin provisions to leave, and claimed the warehouses belonged to their village.
  • The villagers admitted they had turned away outsiders to protect their grain, and Shen Jin ordered ten people to keep them under control while the others inspected the warehouses.
  • The captains threatened to report Shen Jin, but he and his Superhumans laughed at them as they began checking the grain stores.

Ch. 335Enough Grain for 31 Years! (Two Chapters in One)

Shen Jin’s group found 170,000 tonnes of grain and 700 tonnes of cooking oil in Q City’s central reserves, enough to feed Home No. 1 Base for 31 years. He ordered the Superhumans to pack the supplies and dig an underground route back, then noticed that Sun Family Village had one Superhuman among its people.

  • Shen Jin and Yang Ao claimed the granary’s supplies for Home No. 1, while Li Zhe frightened the villagers into stopping their protests by exposing one woman to an L-Type Zombie and saving her with a Senzu Bean.
  • Wu Yong reported that the reserves held about 170,000 tonnes of grain and 700 tonnes of cooking oil, and Shang Qian calculated that the grain could feed the base’s 30,000 residents for 31 years.
  • Shen Jin calculated that the group would need 132 full knapsacks for the grain and oil, then assigned Yang Ao’s 150 people and Qi Tong’s 70 people to transport the supplies and residents from three settlements.
  • Shen Jin ordered more than 400 Superhumans to pack the reserves and dig an underground passage back to Home No. 1, planning to develop an underground transport network.
  • A young man from Sun Family Village asked to return with the group, and Shen Jin recognized him as the village’s only Superhuman.

Ch. 336Sun Li of Sun Family Village (Two chapters in one)

Shen Jin recruited Sun Li, the hidden Superhuman who had secretly protected Sun Family Village, after promising to bring the villagers to Home No. 1. Sun Li explained why he remained devoted to his elders and revealed that he had been hunting zombies at night to distract himself from his lack of adult videos.

  • Sun Li revealed that he was Sun Family Village’s only Superhuman and demonstrated his shadow, which could take physical form and fight.
  • Sun Li persuaded Shen Jin to let the villagers accompany the evacuation, and Shen Jin invited him to join his Superhuman team.
  • Sun Li told Shen Jin that the villagers had funded his education when his poor family could not afford it, which was why he continued to protect them despite their flaws.
  • Shen Jin promised Sun Li that Home No. 1 had water, electricity, salt, and young women, and Sun Li eagerly asked whether it had videos.
  • Sun Li confessed that he had spent his sleepless nights killing nearby zombies to control his sexual frustration, leaving Shen Jin stunned.

Ch. 337Now, I ask, you answer (two chapters in one)

Shen Jin led his group to the Daibei River Central Pork Reserve Warehouse, where they discovered a heavily fortified settlement with hundreds of residents. After the settlement’s leaders challenged his identity, Shen Jin had Li Zhe seize their spokeswoman and demanded answers.

  • Yang Ao and Qi Tong led 220 Superhumans underground to recover grain and villagers, while Shen Jin took 225 Superhumans and Sun Li toward the pork reserve warehouse.
  • Shen Jin’s group fought through zombies on the way, using a Tinkers' Construct Smeltery fortress to kill them, and reached the warehouse without encountering another Tier 2 Evolved Zombie.
  • Liu Jin sensed more than twenty Superhumans inside the compound, including a Tier 2 Superhuman, while Shen Jin’s group flew over the wall with Jetpacks.
  • The warehouse’s leaders emerged with 500 crossbowmen and a woman in a suit demanded proof that Shen Jin’s group belonged to Heavenly Net.
  • Shen Jin ordered Li Zhe to seize the woman, then told the remaining leaders, “Now, I ask, you answer.”

Ch. 338You have no right to negotiate with me

Shen Jin confronted a group of former Government officials and troops, refusing to negotiate on their terms and demanding answers while their crossbowmen and superhumans stood ready. After Miao Shubai revealed her power and the officials lowered their weapons, Dou Bei attacked her.

  • Shen Jin ordered the nineteen people opposite him to answer his questions, while five hundred crossbowmen aimed at his team.
  • Miao Shubai ate a carrot, then unleashed flames that scorched Ms. Cui’s hair and revealed her strength as a tier 2 superhuman.
  • Shang Qian recognized the group as former Q City officials, and the second-in-command ordered the crossbowmen to lower their weapons.
  • Shen Jin refused to release Ms. Cui and demanded to know whether the group had formerly been Government personnel and troops.
  • Dou Bei turned his eyes black and lunged at Miao Shubai.

Ch. 339Meng San's sparring partner

Meng San fought Dou Bei to push himself to the brink and broke through to Tier 2, turning the exchange into a sparring match that strengthened Shen Jin's side. Shen Jin then demanded that Q City's former officials explain why they had not contacted the Heavenly Net or established an official shelter.

  • Miao Shubai blocked Dou Bei with an Air Wall, but he dodged her defenses until Meng San joined the fight.
  • Meng San and Dou Bei traded blows while Miao Shubai briefly supported Meng San, until Meng San asked to face Dou Bei alone.
  • Meng San exhausted himself in the duel, then reached Tier 2 during his final strike and knocked Dou Bei back.
  • Shen Jin congratulated Meng San and teased Dou Bei about serving as his sparring partner; Dou Bei's subordinates argued that he remained stronger in a fight to the death.
  • Shen Jin asked the former Q City officials why they had not contacted the Heavenly Net or established an official shelter.

Ch. 340Their fear and cowardice were just like... my former self

Shen Jin captured Q City’s former officials and forced them to explain why they had abandoned the fight against the zombies. After hearing how repeated disasters had driven the survivors into hiding, Shen Jin reflected on his own former cowardice and reaffirmed his sense of responsibility.

  • Shen Jin demanded to know why the armed group had not contacted Heavenly Net or established an official shelter, and the second-in-command refused to explain.
  • Shen Jin ordered his 225 superhumans to seize the officials, and Miao Shubai’s Water Space and their armor neutralized the crossbowmen’s volley before Shen Jin’s forces defeated them.
  • Li Zhe lifted Ms. Cui to pressure the group, and the second-in-command agreed to recount what had happened to Q City’s Government and troops.
  • The second-in-command described the Government’s retreats from the vocational college and seaside forest park, then explained how Dou Bei killed an M1 Zombie so the remaining survivors could reach the pork warehouse.
  • Shen Jin compared the officials’ fear to his own former self and changed the Rolex’s credo to, “The more Rolexes you wear, the greater your responsibility.”

Ch. 341Dou Bei switched sides

Shen Jin brought the former Government personnel and crossbowmen under control, and Dou Bei led his soldiers to join Shen Jin’s forces. The teams began taking stock of the base’s supplies.

  • Shen Jin ordered his people to bring the defeated personnel back and recruit the crossbowmen into his teams.
  • The bald officer and Ms. Cui proposed sharing leadership and responsibilities with Shen Jin’s forces, but Shen Jin rejected their attempt to bargain.
  • Dou Bei broke free, denounced Meng Song, tore off his Major insignia, and urged his soldiers to join the Heavenly Net.
  • The crossbowmen agreed to follow Dou Bei, and Shen Jin welcomed them into his forces; the remaining twenty-seven Superhumans also joined.
  • Shen Jin sent Li Zhe and Wu Yong to inventory the warehouse, and an hour later they returned to report the amount of chilled pork.

Ch. 342The return trip and a shared meal

Shen Jin led the group back to Home No. 1 through a tunnel dug by 225 Superhumans, bringing back 7,000 tons of pork and 500 crossbowmen. After everyone celebrated with braised pork rice, Sun Li began settling in and sent an unexpected late-night message to the base’s male Superhumans.

  • Shen Jin packed the chilled pork into the Superhumans’ backpacks and led the group toward Home No. 1 through a tunnel dug by the 225 Superhumans.
  • Shen Jin reconsidered building railways and planned to use electric buses and shared bicycles in the underground tunnels instead.
  • Shen Jin brought Dou Bei, Sun Li, and 500 crossbowmen into Home No. 1, then ordered Tong Zhen to house the crossbowmen separately from Dou Bei.
  • A hotel chef served braised pork rice to the base, while Li Moxiao kept eating in the kitchen and Dou Bei and Sun Li ate with the Superhumans.
  • Sun Li added Superhumans to the local chat app, then messaged every male Superhuman at midnight asking them to send him pornography.

Ch. 343Civilian equipment-bone armor (two-in-one)

Shen Jin rescued injured newcomers at Home No. 1 with Senzu Beans, then developed lightweight bone armor to protect the settlement’s growing ranks of Pseudo-Superhumans. He finished a full armor set and planned to sell sets for 100 bones.

  • Shen Jin checked the west gate’s newcomer records and ordered guards to observe new arrivals for three hours to prevent infected people from entering unnoticed.
  • When an M1 Zombie chased eleven Pseudo-Superhumans to the gate, Shen Jin gave one fighter Giant Sausage to help the guards battle it.
  • Shen Jin gave seven badly injured survivors Senzu Beans; six recovered, while one died before the medicine could save him.
  • Shen Jin chose bones as an abundant, lightweight armor material and crafted Bone Leggings whose High-Calcium Enhancement added 10 armor points after absorbing a bone.
  • Shen Jin made a full bone armor set for 50 bones and decided to sell each set for 100 bones.

Ch. 344Heavenly Net on the offensive

Ye Fan led Heavenly Net superhumans in a jungle battle, where their enhanced strength let them kill five Tier 1 Zombies despite their weapons breaking and their bodies having lost the potential to advance. The chapter ended with Sun Can complaining about his own broken weapons in Q City.

  • Ye Fan's thirty fighters split into teams and attacked three L1 Zombies, two T1 Zombies, and the ordinary evolved zombies nearby.
  • Ye Fan and his teammates weakened a T1 Zombie's black energy shield while the other teams engaged the remaining zombies.
  • The superhumans killed all five Tier 1 Zombies, then discussed how Heavenly Net's drug had tripled their strength but barred them from advancing to Tier 2.
  • Ye Fan said he had taken the drug to avenge his friend, who had been eaten by a T1 Zombie, and vowed to shoulder the fight for six months.
  • The fighters found their refined steel weapons damaged by the battle, while Sun Can in Q City also complained that his broken broadsword and his skeleton soldiers' makeshift weapons were inadequate.

Ch. 345Master, I've Seen the Light! (Two-in-One)

Sun Can discovered Pang Guang’s powerful energy bow and set off with him for Home No. 1 to find its maker and request similar weapons. Meanwhile, Liu Jiannan considered Hu Shou’s proposal to coat weapons with energy and hoped to find an Artifact-Refining Special Ability User.

  • Sun Can received a quest to travel to B City and destroy a mutant-breeding nest, then decided he needed to prepare better weapons for his Ghosts and Skeleton Warriors.
  • Pang Guang killed an attacking P-Type Spitter Zombie with his glowing Shortbow, and Sun Can captured him with Ghosts and Skeletons to ask about the weapon.
  • Sun Can tested Pang Guang’s bow and fired three energy-coated arrows through four walls, then asked Pang Guang to take him to the bow’s maker.
  • Two Ghosts carried Sun Can and Pang Guang toward Home No. 1 while the Skeletons ran after them.
  • At Heavenly Net Headquarters, Liu Jiannan reviewed complaints about outdated weapons and considered Hu Shou’s proposal to use Energy Crystal Cores to strengthen them.
  • Liu Jiannan decided to ask the country over the radio whether an Artifact-Refining Special Ability User could help solve the equipment problem.

Ch. 346I Heard You Sell Swords?

Sun Can visited Home No. 1 and inspected Shen Jin’s newly developed weapons and armor, deciding to outfit his skeleton warriors with them. He met Shen Jin at the research institute and asked about buying swords, leaving their trade about to begin.

  • Pang Guang arrived at Home No. 1 with Sun Can’s undead summons, and Liu Jin confirmed their identities so the guards let them enter on foot.
  • Sun Can examined the weapon racks and armor stands, impressed by the equipment’s traits and resolving to buy bows, arrows, armor, and possibly daggers for his skeleton warriors.
  • Pang Guang told Sun Can that Shen Jin was selling melee weapons in exchange for supplies.
  • Shen Jin smelted pig iron to make stronger weapons for his superhuman teams and planned to sell their retired steel gear.
  • Sun Can met Shen Jin at the Tinkers’ Construct Research Institute and asked whether he sold swords.

Ch. 347Another Probe

Shen Jin negotiated with Sun Can for weapons and armor in exchange for materials, then grew suspicious that Sun Can had a system of his own. Sun Can left to retrieve his stored supplies, while Shen Jin considered why he had denied having a system.

  • Sun Can asked Shen Jin to make equipment for his Skeleton summons and offered lavawood and blaze powder, which Shen Jin eagerly accepted.
  • Sun Can requested durable weapons and armor for his summons, plus a powerful set for himself before leaving Q City for B City.
  • Shen Jin gave Sun Can a Tinker's Construct Knapsack and Traveler's Belt so he could carry his materials, and Sun Can left to collect them.
  • After Sun Can departed, Shen Jin examined a pair of Traveler's Gloves and concluded Sun Can had a system, wondering why he had lied about it.

Ch. 348Slime Balls

Shen Jin discovered that Sun Can had gathered rare materials, including slimeballs, and learned that Sun Can could transform green slime into orange magma slime. The chapter ended with Shen Jin realizing Sun Can was the source of the magma slime.

  • Shen Jin crafted Lavawood and Blaze Powder into Firewood, a material that let weapons release flames.
  • Sun Can offered Shen Jin large quantities of Lavawood and Blaze Powder, along with several strange materials he had collected.
  • Shen Jin recognized three colorful balls from a Hybrid Variant Zombie as large slimeballs and checked their crafting properties.
  • Sun Can used his flames to transform a large green slimeball into an orange Magma Slimeball.
  • Shen Jin watched Sun Can’s flames fade and exclaimed that Sun Can was his magma.

Ch. 349Skeletons' [Lava Slime-Pig Iron Shortbow]

Shen Jin used Sun Can’s slime materials to forge him a powerful Lava Slime-Pig Iron Shortbow and a quiver of magma slime arrows. After Sun Can tested the bow’s fiery strength, he asked Shen Jin to make more sets for his skeleton monsters, leaving Shen Jin to calculate how much magma slime he could spare.

  • Shen Jin persuaded Sun Can to hand over his large slimeballs and burn twenty green ones into magma slimeballs.
  • Shen Jin crafted Sun Can a Lava Slime-Pig Iron Shortbow and sixty magma slime arrows, combining magma slime’s fire traits with pig iron’s self-repairing ability.
  • Sun Can tested the bow on a spider, then coated it with his lava-like special ability and shot through a meter-thick cobblestone wall.
  • Sun Can asked Shen Jin for ten more bows and twenty-one quivers of arrows while he went to retrieve the test arrow.
  • Shen Jin calculated that eleven equipment sets would use 308 magma slime balls, leaving 972 from Sun Can’s supply, but realized Sun Can might request other gear too.

Ch. 351Flame Skeletons

Shen Jin crafted flame-infused weapons and armor for Sun Can’s skeletons, giving them equipment suited to their small frames and fire-based combat. With their gear complete, Sun Jin envisioned Sun Can leading a squad of flame skeletons.

  • Sun Can asked Shen Jin for compact weapons for his skeletons, and Shen Jin offered them one-handed hatchets instead of daggers.
  • Shen Jin crafted a steel hatchet with a firewood binding that let it shoot concentrated flames, and Sun Can tested and praised it.
  • Shen Jin made Sun Can ten more flame hatchets for the skeletons.
  • Shen Jin crafted a full set of armor with shared damage and flame effects, completing the skeletons’ bows, arrows, hatchets, and armor.
  • Shen Jin told Sun Can he might someday have a squad of flame skeletons.

Ch. 352Shen Jin figured it out

Shen Jin tested Sun Can’s skeleton with the crimson armor and learned that Sun Can was a dual-type Fire and summoning ability user. Shen Jin concluded that Sun Can might not know other people possessed systems, then asked what weapon Sun Can wanted to make.

  • Lu Daizhen reported that she could not read Sun Can’s thoughts or probe his strength, and Shen Jin wondered why she also could not see through the Daoist.
  • Sun Can brought a stronger skeleton summoned from a Tier 1 L-Type Zombie and revealed that he had both Fire and summoning abilities.
  • Shen Jin inferred that Sun Can had been concealing his unusual powers because he believed he might be the only system owner.
  • Sun Can fitted the skeleton with crimson armor, a bow, arrows, and a hand axe stowed inside its rib cage; the armor amplified his flames when he attacked it.
  • Shen Jin praised the equipment and asked Sun Can what weapon he wanted to make.

Ch. 353Knight Slime Alloy

Shen Jin forged Sun Can a powerful greatsword and equipped him for his journey, then upgraded his own gear with knight slime armor. After Sun Can departed, Shen Jin realized he had forgotten to ask for more materials and forged a frying pan for both combat and cooking.

  • Shen Jin crafted Sun Can a magma slime greatsword with cobalt bindings, and Sun Can tested its power with his fire ability.
  • Shen Jin finished Sun Can’s armor with a purple knight slime helmet, gave him Tinkers’ Construct gear and mining tools, and sent him off.
  • Shen Jin upgraded his own armor with knight slime and stored the remaining rare materials.
  • Shen Jin noticed Sun Can had taken the promised lavawood and blaze powder with him, but Pang Guang failed to catch up to him.
  • Shen Jin used firewood and pig iron to craft a frying pan that could serve as a weapon and a cooking tool.
