Ch. 494World Origin, Son of Finnir!

Ronan learned that Fawara was protecting the World Origin, a power that could awaken Finnir and remake the world's order, and offered a way to hide Fawara and Rick. As Luse pushed the Elder Council to hunt them, Finnir's representative Gonitz issued an order to find Fawara and the child within three Moon Cycles; meanwhile, Ronan followed a faint consciousness fluctuation across the Finnir Territory.

  • Fawara told Ronan that the World Origin was the source of creation and destruction, and that he intended to take it to the World Root rather than let Finnir claim it.
  • Ronan learned the boy's name was Rick and offered Fawara a way to keep Finnir from finding them temporarily.
  • Luse killed Boen, declared Fawara a traitor, and tried to rally the Elder Council to capture him and recover the stolen item.
  • Finnir's representative Gonitz ordered the council to find Fawara and Rick within three Moon Cycles, and Luse knelt in submission.
  • Ronan discussed the realms' differing measures of time with Alazan, who advised him to enter Dracolis's Legendary Register to reach the World Root.
  • Ronan sensed a faint consciousness fluctuation nearby and hurried toward it.

Ch. 495The Path of Battle Methods, Interception

Ronan and Fawara uncovered the Fountain of Freedom, while Alazan told Ronan about Dracolis’s Legendary Register and admitted that he had little time left. As Ronan and Fawara approached the fountain to escape, Luse appeared and blocked their path.

  • Ronan brought Fawara and Rick out of Mist Space, and Fawara used crushed beetles to reveal the hidden Fountain of Freedom.
  • Fawara explained that a nut could send Ronan through the fountain to one of several territories once its singing stopped.
  • Alazan told Ronan that wizards could enter subsidiary registers of Dracolis’s Legendary Register by exploring, killing, and fighting, and revealed that his own time was running out.
  • Ronan and Fawara approached the fountain with a teleportation nut, but a strange distortion obscured it and stopped them.
  • A Black Robe Wizard emerged amid streams of black smoke, and Fawara identified him as Luse.

Ch. 496Ruin Monster

Ronan and Fawara fought through the Valensador Elder Council’s ambush to reach the Fountain of Freedom, using the Ruin Monster to turn the battle in their favor. Just as Fawara prepared to send Ronan away, Lord Gonitz arrived and Fawara revealed that he was the Son of Finnir.

  • The Black Robe Wizard and more than fifteen Elder Council wizards surrounded Ronan and Fawara, but Fawara detonated three elemental orbs to break their encirclement.
  • Fawara restored the Fountain of Freedom with a white object, and Ronan used his spatial magic to teleport them away from an attack before they were recaptured.
  • Fawara summoned the Ruin Monster from an ancient scroll, and its tentacles overwhelmed the Elder Council wizards while sparing their lives at Fawara’s request.
  • Ronan and Fawara reached the Fountain of Freedom, where Fawara prepared a nut with his blood and told Ronan to choose his destination and release the curly-haired youth.
  • A powerful force froze the fountain and battlefield as a giant black wolf descended and transformed into a young man; Luse and the Elder Council wizards bowed to him.
  • Ronan recognized the newcomer as a Level Seven Twilight powerhouse, and Fawara identified him as Lord Gonitz, the Son of Finnir.
