After two days of rest, Li Yang's leg injury was no longer serious. The wound had slowly begun to scab over, and he walked much more nimbly now.

Around lunchtime, Xiao Dan had Li Yang help her in the kitchen. After a busy spell, she made a delicious pot of Braised Noodles, Li Yang's favorite.

Li Yang eagerly picked up the large bowl Xiao Dan had served him and began wolfing it down.

"Slow down, honey. Don't choke. There's plenty more, and I can't eat that much anyway." Xiao Dan lovingly poured Li Yang some water and fed him a sip. Then she ate slowly herself, like a little kitten. Li Yang wanted to fatten her up, but that looked like a difficult task.

"Here, honey. I can't finish it." Xiao Dan coquettishly poured the leftover noodles from her bowl into Li Yang's.

"Honey, what time are we going to your village this afternoon?" Xiao Dan lazily leaned back on the sofa, kicked off her slippers, and gently swung her feet.

"We'll go after you get off work. Oh, right, you need to change clothes too." Li Yang pointed at Xiao Dan's somewhat sexy, short work skirt.

"Rub my stomach, wifey. I ate a little too much," Li Yang called out, patting Xiao Dan.

Xiao Dan, who had just closed her eyes, let out a string of bell-like laughter.

"Who told you to eat like a pig? You ate so much." Xiao Dan leaned against Li Yang's chest, chewing gum with loud smacking sounds.

"Wifey, I want some too," Li Yang said shamelessly as he looked at Xiao Dan.

"Here." Xiao Dan kissed Li Yang's lips for a while, transferring the gum to him.

"Mmm, so sweet," Li Yang praised it to himself.

Xiao Dan rolled her beautiful eyes at him.

Before long, Li Yang gradually fell asleep.

When he woke up, the beauty in his arms was gone. Catching the lingering hint of Xiao Dan's scent beside him, Li Yang happily rolled over and began fantasizing about their wonderful life after marriage.

He idled around the house all afternoon, finally waiting for Xiao Dan to return from work.

"Wifey, I missed you so much. I want a hug." Li Yang spread his arms and acted cute.

Xiao Dan smiled helplessly. He really was an overgrown child. She hugged him and kissed him for a while before the two began changing clothes to head out.

Li Yang personally picked out an outfit for Xiao Dan from the wardrobe: a white short-sleeved shirt, sky-blue denim shorts, flat Crystal Sandals worn barefoot, and a cute white hair clip. She looked just like a youthful, energetic college student.

With a delighted expression, Xiao Dan kept admiring herself in the mirror.

"Thank you, honey. Love you." Xiao Dan rose onto her tiptoes and gave him a sweet kiss, then changed Li Yang into another set of clothes she had bought for him.

It was also a white short-sleeved shirt, paired with black casual men's trousers. Thinking of the wound on Li Yang's leg, Xiao Dan thoughtfully chose soft fabric that would not rub against it as easily as jeans.

"Get lost. All you ever think about is that." With a faint blush on her face, Xiao Dan reached out and pinched Li Yang's flesh.

"Who told me to love you so much, wifey? I think about it every day." Li Yang started acting shameless again, hugging Xiao Dan and refusing to let go.

"Fine, fine. If nothing comes up tonight, I'll agree to it, okay?" Smiling softly, Xiao Dan gazed at Li Yang with affection, then giggled and ran away.

"Yue Xiaodan, you're a huge female hooligan..."

Li Yang widened his eyes and shouted toward the direction Xiao Dan had run.

It was all his own fault for constantly filling Xiao Dan's head with unhealthy ideas. Li Yang shook his head, quickly locked the door, grabbed the keys, and went after her.

The two first took the bus, playfully messing around all the way until they reached the terminal at the hospital where Li Yang often caught the bus to work.

Ever since she had started dating Li Yang, Xiao Dan's mood had been as bright as sunshine every day. Love was like magical nourishment, bringing huge changes to Xiao Dan. The two of them were thrilled about it and spent every day glued to each other.

"Honey, let's buy something. We can't go empty-handed." Xiao Dan affectionately held Li Yang's hand and looked up at him.

The two stood at the hospital entrance, looking at a row of fruit shops.

"Come on, we won't buy here. Everything's a little expensive around here." With experience, Li Yang took Xiao Dan farther ahead to a supermarket away from the hospital.

They bought a case of pure milk and a case of ham sausages. "Is this enough, honey?"

Xiao Dan looked at the two items and asked curiously. She had no experience with this, so she simply followed Li Yang's arrangements.

"Is he telling us to hurry over?" Xiao Dan asked Li Yang with an obedient little-girl expression.

"Yeah, wifey, let's go." With that, the two went to the roadside, hailed a taxi, and got in.

"Driver, Xu JiaYing," Li Yang said casually.

"Okay." The driver put the car in gear and set off.

In just a few minutes, they arrived at the Village Entrance. Li Yang usually commuted back and forth by bicycle. If he had not been bringing Xiao Dan today, he could have walked this stretch very quickly.

"It's this close?" Xiao Dan asked Li Yang in surprise after getting out of the car.

"Of course," Li Yang replied naturally.

The energetic Wang Dama's mouth was like a machine gun as she kept firing off questions.

"Auntie, this is my girlfriend. I'll let you know when the time comes. We have something to do, so we'll get going."

As he spoke, Li Yang grabbed Xiao Dan and quickly ran off.

When Xiao Dan heard Li Yang introduce her as his girlfriend, she was thrilled for a long time, smiling so widely her mouth would not close. Women sometimes focused on the strangest things.

Filled with joy, the two arrived at Xu Rui's home. As they passed Li Yang's house, he simply pointed out the door to Xiao Dan, so she knew where his home was.

"Oh, you're here, girl!" Xu Rui's parents smiled broadly as they took the two boxes from Xiao Dan's hands.

After exchanging pleasantries for a while, the three began eating.

"Uncle, Auntie, please come eat too." As soon as Xiao Dan sat down, she politely invited Xu Rui's parents to join them.

"I only bought it yesterday. I can go back to work tomorrow. I told your supervisor about your situation. He said that since May First just ended, things aren't too busy, so you should rest properly and go back after you've healed."

Li Yang changed the subject to work.

"Forget it. You have no idea how much it hurt." Xu Rui picked up some Pork Head Meat and stuffed it into his mouth. There were four dishes on the table, and he had finished three of them by himself.

Li Yang was completely speechless.

"Enough already. Aren't you afraid you won't be able to sleep tonight?" Li Yang watched Xu Rui finish all the remaining roasted chicken and Pork Head Meat, smiling helplessly.

"You don't understand. If I hadn't gotten some benefits today, I wouldn't have been able to eat this stuff." Xu Rui chewed large mouthfuls without a care.

"Oh, right. How did you and Xiao Dan get in touch?" Xu Rui suddenly asked.

Li Yang smiled and teased him without changing expression. "What, are you jealous of me?"

"She went to our shop looking for you. You weren't there, so she came looking for me. Then she asked a coworker for my number and called me. I told her. That's all." Li Yang recited the explanation he had prepared long ago.
