As usual, I should write something when a new book goes premium—just chat with you guys for a bit.
We'll be going premium at midnight tomorrow, which is New Year's Day. Guess we'll be ringing in the new year together?
No stockpiled chapters!
I know everyone will definitely ask about a big update burst after it goes premium, but Old Yu can only tell you pitifully: there really aren't any stockpiled chapters. I did save up tens of thousands of words before starting the book, but halfway through, I felt the pacing of those saved chapters was too slow, so I deleted almost all of them. Haha, everything I update now is fresh off the press.
Those of you who've watched Old Yu write on stream know just how slow I am. I rely entirely on the two-finger technique. I write seven or eight hours a day and can produce seven or eight thousand words, but after all the cutting and revising, only six thousand are usable.
Tomorrow, I'll write as much as I can and post as much as I write. Let's see if I can squeeze out one more chapter.
Let me put it this way: during the first month after going premium, every author wants to update as much as possible. Not a single one wants to update less.
Anyway, just one thing: it's hard for Old Yu to pull off massive update bursts, but I'll definitely do my utmost to write every chapter well and treat every chapter seriously, even if there are a thousand chapters ahead, two thousand chapters...
Now that I've talked about updates, I still have to ask for subscriptions.
Let me play the misery card first. Writing a new book is really stressful. Now I understand why those other authors suffer so
