Esdeath’s forces began their siege of Evil City while Ye Han confronted the city’s human experiments and its powerful Evil Soul Masters. Ye Han defeated Charlie at the cost of exhausting his Soul Power, and Zhao Lei arrived to clear the laboratory as the army continued its slow advance through the city.

• After learning that Esdeath’s forces had arrived, Ye Han restrained Evil Soul Masters who tried to kill the children in the basement and tortured them before ordering the siege to begin.
• Esdeath commanded her army to besiege Evil City, while Zhao Lei charged toward the City Lord’s Mansion and the Punishment Army processed captives.
• Ye Han entered the human-experiment facility, killed the Evil Soul Masters in his way, and encountered Charlie, an Evil Soul Master whose body had no heart.
• Ye Han’s Piercing Death Thorn Spear failed to stop Charlie, so he used Brahmastra Kundala to burn him down to a twitching hand and collapsed from Soul Power exhaustion.

His visit to the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan ended with Esdeath catching him joking about its young women and suspending him on an ice pillar to train.

• Ye Han announced monthly fights against Four Elements Academy, sending anyone who lost there unless they were a Support Department Soul Master or an exceptional genius.
• Honjou Kaede told Ye Han that Gu Ruo and some other children had Martial Souls incompatible with their bodies, so he gave her old experimental records and went to see Gu Ruo.
