Theresia versus Prestes.
One was a dead soul resurrected by the Absolutionist after dying in the current civilization; the other was a dead soul from the Previous Civilization, left behind in the Internalized Universe and ever-present upon this land.
Without question, this was a showdown between two female ghosts—the strongest female ghost of the present against the strongest female ghost of the past!
"Will Theresia win?" Seeing Prestes's legs already trembling uncontrollably, Kal'tsit could only place her hopes on the Your Highness she had once served.
"She will!" Theresia smiled.
A declaration of victory after resurrection.
Ever since being resurrected by the Absolutionist, she had endured the whispers of the Sarkaz Collective Souls at every moment. Through those whispers, she could faintly sense what was happening within the Internalized Universe, and could even try to exert some influence over it with her own power. She had done such things before.
Though what she did was like a life-form that had only just learned to wield fire—leaving scorch marks upon the earth through nothing but clumsy, repetitive motions—those scorch marks were already enough to harm the "humans" of civilization!
"I remember you. This is not even our first meeting, is it? How interesting. Among these fragile life-forms, there was actually a specimen like you." Prestes's voice remained utterly flat, yet somehow carried the air of old acquaintances reuniting.
She did not move closer. Her gaze remained fixed on the Doctor, completely ignoring Theresia, Kal'tsit, and the others. Yet it felt as though the moment she chose to look their way, the two of them would immediately have their hearts pierced by swords and their skulls split by axes.
"Specimen?" Theresia frowned, clearly displeased with that form of address.
