Ch. 204Queen of the "Ten Thousand Races"

Oshi fought Big Mom on Whole Cake Island and discovered that Big Mom surpassed Kaido in strength and Observation Haki. After Big Mom invited her to join, Oshi attacked with her newly grasped Conqueror’s Haki, but Big Mom declared her still far too inexperienced.

  • Big Mom pinned Oshi down with her superior Observation Haki and overwhelmed her, but Oshi escaped by concentrating her lightning into her wings.
  • Big Mom recognized that Oshi fought like Kaido and unleashed her Conqueror’s Haki, revealing strength she claimed exceeded Kaido’s.
  • Oshi showed that she could use Conqueror’s Haki infusion, prompting Big Mom to take her seriously and invite her to join her side.
  • Big Mom described Whole Cake Island as a kingdom for the ten thousand races, while Oshi rejected her invitation.
  • Oshi and Big Mom collided in a Conqueror’s Haki-infused fist clash that devastated the surrounding land, and Big Mom told Oshi she was still too inexperienced.

Ch. 205Values

Oshi was badly injured after Big Mom overwhelmed her, then heard Big Mom argue that the strong made the rules. As Ra healed her, Oshi questioned that belief, and Ra left her to decide what values to follow.

  • Big Mom defeated Oshi's Haki-infused attack and struck her hard enough to injure her divine body.
  • Big Mom ended the fight, saying Kaido had delivered his message, and moved on to discuss their alliance.
  • Big Mom told Oshi that strength gave people the right to make rules and that Oshi was not strong enough to challenge hers.
  • Ra caught Oshi, healed her with golden flames, and explained that force was a tool rather than an absolute principle.
  • Ra told Oshi that the encounter was meant to expose her to other values and that choosing whether to accept them was up to her.

Ch. 206Right and Wrong, and Growth

Oshi questioned her own path after seeing someone walk a different one, but Ra told her to choose her own direction and take responsibility for it. Ra then negotiated Beasts Heavy Industries' sales arrangement with Big Mom and revealed something that made Big Mom realize Kaido had threatened her territory.

  • Oshi asked Ra whether her path was wrong, and Ra told her that life had no single correct route and that she should leave the footprints she wanted.
  • Oshi recovered quickly, and Big Mom praised Ra's golden-flame ability before asking how Ra would pay for Oshi's lesson.
  • Ra offered Big Mom ten percent of Beasts Heavy Industries' New World sales profits and thirty percent of future sales profits elsewhere in exchange for the Big Mom Pirates' sales channels.
  • Big Mom demanded fifty percent, but Ra refused to bargain and explained that the thirty-percent offer included compensation for Oshi's lesson.
  • Big Mom threatened Ra with Conqueror's Haki and challenged her confidence, so Ra raised her hand toward a direction that made Big Mom recognize Kaido's actions and roar at him.

Ch. 207Dividing the Cake, Part One

Ra used the missing celebration cake to pressure Big Mom, then gave her a rice pudding whose flavor changed to match what she imagined the cake would taste like. Big Mom resumed the banquet and made a deal with Rayleigh, while planning to learn more about Ra’s abilities.

  • Big Mom realized Kaido’s interference with the celebration cake threatened to trigger her Food Addiction and destroy Whole Cake Island.
  • Ra handed Big Mom a rice pudding that tasted like the cake she imagined, and Big Mom recognized its potential to manage her Food Addiction.
  • Big Mom decided to gather intelligence on Ra before approaching her and ordered the damaged plaza cleaned and the banquet restarted.
  • Big Mom told Rayleigh she would drop the matter of the two children if Roger came in person to explain the secret of the Poneglyphs.
  • Rayleigh accepted Big Mom’s terms, seeing the exchange as a chance for the Roger Pirates to learn more about the Road Poneglyphs.

Ch. 208Split the Cake, Part 2

After the chaos at Whole Cake Island, Big Mom warned Morgans about what he could publish and confirmed her plans to use Old Media to expand her influence in North Blue. She then shared the ceremony cake with Ra, and the celebration resumed.

  • Big Mom told Perospero she had taught Kaido's brat a lesson and warned Morgans not to publish certain photographs.
  • Morgans confirmed that Old Media had been lured away and was preparing to flee to North Blue, and Big Mom ordered Perospero to have her people cooperate with him.
  • Big Mom planned to use Old Media to clear local powers from North Blue before sending him onward to South Blue.
  • Perospero and Katakuri brought out the cake, and Big Mom cut it in two and gave one half to Ra.
  • The guests took portions of cake as the celebration returned to normal.

Ch. 209Way of the Pawn

Ra accepted offers of cooperation from underworld figures seeking ties with Beasts, while Oshi brooded over Kaido’s schemes and asked Rayleigh about the secret Buggy and Shanks had tried to steal. Rayleigh promised she could ask Roger about it, leaving the secret unrevealed.

  • Douffield, Umit, and other underworld figures offered Ra gold, shipping, and business services, and she gave them Wright’s Den Den Mushi number to handle the arrangements.
  • Obe teased Oshi for brooding, and Oshi complained that Kaido was far more crafty than she had realized.
  • Hainar tried to comfort Oshi, while Rayleigh thanked her for saving Shanks and Buggy and offered her a favor from the Roger Pirates.
  • Oshi asked Rayleigh to help her beat up Kaido, then gave up on the idea and asked what Buggy and Shanks had tried to steal.
  • Rayleigh declined to reveal the secret in front of the others and told Oshi to ask Roger when they returned.

Ch. 210After the Banquet

After the Whole Cake Island banquet, the guests departed, and Big Mom took a final group photo with Ra’s group and Rayleigh’s companions. As the two groups parted ways, Obe gave Buggy two custom revolvers intended for Roger and Rayleigh.

  • Morgans proposed a group photo of the banquet guests, but Hainar, Ochoku’s people, Douffield, and Marco’s group declined.
  • Big Mom took a group photo with Ra, Oshi, Obe, Rayleigh, and their companions, then said goodbye to them at the dock.
  • Ra’s group met the Oro Jackson at the edge of Totoland Sea, and Rayleigh said farewell to Ra and her companions.
  • Oshi made Shanks and Buggy cry as they said goodbye, then Obe emerged from the cabin and handed Buggy two custom revolvers.
  • Buggy explained that he planned to give one revolver to Roger and the other to Rayleigh, whom he regarded as his master.

Ch. 211Secrets and Parting

Roger’s crew celebrated learning that Big Mom possessed a Road Poneglyph, and Roger explained the stones’ secret to Oshi. Oshi dismissed the search for the Final Island as a tedious map-collection quest, leaving Roger puzzled by her lack of excitement.

  • Buggy gave Roger and Rayleigh custom pistols, and Rayleigh told the crew how Buggy and Shanks had found and tried to steal Big Mom’s Road Poneglyph.
  • Roger and the crew celebrated finding their first lead to a Road Poneglyph, while Gaban scolded Buggy and Shanks for trying to steal it.
  • Roger approached Oshi as she examined the giant egg aboard the Oro Jackson, and the crew explained that they had found it on an island guarded by a giant monster bird.
  • Roger decided to tell Oshi the secret of the Road Poneglyphs, despite Gaban’s objections, because she had saved Shanks and Buggy.
  • Roger explained that the red Poneglyphs revealed the location of the Final Island, but Oshi called the search a cliché map-collection quest and showed little interest.

Ch. 212Newspaper

Kaido and the Beasts Pirates read Morgans's newspaper coverage of the Whole Cake Island encounter, which spotlighted Osiris and Obelisk while framing the alliance with Big Mom as a new Rocks. They were baffled that Ra was not mentioned at all, while Morgans was already in a frenzy at the World Economic News Company.

  • Osiris left the others and flew back on her own after the ships parted ways.
  • Burufatt brought Kaido the newspaper, and Kaido examined its double headlines about a Rocks-like gathering and the Beasts Pirates' princesses.
  • Kaido and the others saw Morgans portray Osiris as close to Rayleigh and Obelisk as a formidable weapons engineer.
  • Kaido approved of Morgans's label for the Beasts–Big Mom alliance as the New World's Worst Alliance.
  • Wright and Burufatt noticed that the newspaper had omitted Ra entirely, leaving the Beasts Pirates confused.
  • Morgans went berserk at the World Economic News Company headquarters.

Ch. 213Overexposure

Morgans discovered that Ra’s presence ruined photographs and prevented people from remembering her appearance, so he kept her out of the newspaper. At Marine Headquarters, Kong told Garp, Zephyr, and Sengoku that the Gorosei had ordered the Marines not to act against the Beasts and Big Mom alliance for now.

  • Morgans found that photos involving Ra were overexposed, and neither he nor Hill could remember what Ra looked like.
  • Morgans decided to print pictures of Oshi and Obe but not mention Ra, then ordered the staff to mop the restrooms.
  • Zephyr and Garp saw the newspaper photos of Oshi and Obe and thought of Ra’s safety.
  • Zephyr offered to join the effort against Kaido and Big Mom, hoping he could help Oshi and Obe.
  • Kong told Garp, Zephyr, and Sengoku that the Gorosei had ordered them to leave the alliance alone and not act without authorization.

Ch. 214Lone Wolf

Zephyr accepted the order to stand down while Old Media’s family split over whether to flee the New World. Oshi returned to Fenrir Island stronger and challenged Kaido to a private fight, leaving the outcome unknown.

  • Zephyr obeyed the higher-ups’ order, and Garp left with him while Kong told Sengoku to maintain surveillance and asked about reproducing the revolvers.
  • Old Media ordered his family to flee to the North Blue, but Caspa refused and argued that retreat would turn them from predators into prey.
  • Old Media gave Caspa the family’s documents and secrets, then said he and Caspa’s sister would change their surname to Haike and leave the Media name to him.
  • Kaido welcomed Oshi back to Fenrir Island and agreed to accompany her to their western sparring island after she invited him to see the scenery.
  • Oshi told Burufatt she had personal matters to discuss with Kaido and asked him to prepare big stick meat for her return feast.

Ch. 215Fox

Oshi met Kaido for a fight and used her newly awakened Phantom God form to assert that her choices and freedom belonged to her. After she punched Kaido back, she challenged his claim that strength alone determined who could speak of freedom, ending by showing him the hand sign for “fox.”

  • Oshi reached the island well before Kaido, and he arrived later by cloud.
  • Oshi revealed her Phantom God combat stance and completed Phase 1 as her aura shook the island.
  • Oshi told Kaido that her thoughts, will, and life direction were her own and that no one could interfere.
  • Kaido transformed into his Azure Dragon form and argued that only the strong deserved freedom before attacking Oshi.
  • Oshi punched Kaido flying, then explained that she valued strength without relying on it as her only answer and formed the sign for “fox.”

Ch. 216Reef

Oshi and Kaido fought on the uncharted islet after Oshi challenged Kaido’s reliance on violence, and she matched his Thunder Bagua before enduring his attacks and countering with Thunder Breath. Their battle destroyed the islet, which was later described as no longer existing after a Superconducting Wave.

  • Oshi told Kaido that violence was only one way to solve problems, provoking him to attack with Thunder Bagua.
  • Oshi copied Kaido’s Thunder Bagua, and their Haki clash blasted apart the island’s reefs and earth.
  • Kaido exploited the ground splitting beneath Oshi and struck her into the air with his spiked club.
  • Kaido hit Oshi with Heat Breath, but Oshi emerged unharmed and answered with a charged Thunder Breath.
  • The narration described the islet’s repeated destruction during their training and said a Superconducting Wave later erased it.

Ch. 217Dangerous Experiment

After months of avoiding each other following a fight, Kaido and Oshi had their dispute resolved by Ra, and Oshi spent her time entertaining Fish-Man children. Obe lured Oshi into a dangerous weapons experiment, where their attempt to compress divine power failed and Obe began testing ways to alter a sample of divine metal.

  • Kaido and Oshi had spent half a month communicating through King and Burufatt until Burufatt asked Ra to resolve their falling-out.
  • Oshi told Fish-Man children a story during Burufatt's class before Dante summoned her to help with one of Obe's experiments.
  • Obe brought Oshi through the reinforced doors of Laboratory 001 and admitted she had lied about the weapon's special effects.
  • Obe explained that ordinary materials could not withstand their power and demonstrated that she could not compress her divine power into solid metal.
  • Oshi compressed her divine power into a smoke-like solid before losing control and blasting a hole in the laboratory wall.
  • Obe decided to try modifying a divine-metal sample, but Oshi tried to leave and Obe stopped her.

Ch. 218Bad News

Obe and Oshi tested Ra’s dangerous Golden Cube on remote islands while Ra learned that Zephyr’s family had been murdered. At Marine Headquarters, Zephyr resigned as an Admiral, doubting his justice and saying he could no longer fight pirates.

  • Obe persuaded Oshi to help her conduct the Golden Cube experiment, and they sought uninhabited islands to test it safely.
  • Oshi and Obe obtained coordinates for remote islets and repeatedly blasted them apart with explosions.
  • Ra read that Zephyr’s wife and son had been murdered and worried about how the tragedy would affect him.
  • Zephyr told Kong that the murderer was a pirate he had once arrested and that he had sent him back to prison.
  • Zephyr asked Kong to let him resign as Admiral and leave the Marines because he doubted his justice and could no longer fight pirates.

Ch. 219Lone Wolf in Action

Zephyr remained in the Marines as a strict instructor while Kong shifted Marine strategy after the loss of an Admiral-level fighter. In the North Blue, Caspa’s attempts to secure allies to rebuild the Media Family failed, and he learned the Kuge Family’s price for helping him.

  • Zephyr became an instructor for Marine recruits, where Borsalino and Sakazuki trained under his strict discipline.
  • Kong adopted a more conservative Marine strategy after the Marines lost one of their four Admiral-level combatants.
  • Willy politely rejected Caspa’s request for cooperation and privately ordered his butler to turn Caspa away if he returned.
  • Willy arranged a gathering with other underground families to discuss the threat posed by Beasts.
  • Caspa learned that the Kuge Family’s head would help rebuild the Media Family only if he became her thirteenth husband.

Ch. 220The Traitor

Willy united the underground arms-dealing families into a syndicate and planned to offer Caspa to the Beasts, while secretly preparing to sell out his allies. By the time Willy’s letter reached Fenrir Island, the other families had already surrendered, and Ra recognized that Willy’s message was laying out a path for the Beasts.

  • Willy proposed that the arms-dealing families unite against the Beasts, and they agreed without addressing the suspected traitor.
  • Willy told the syndicate to capture Caspa and deliver him to the Beasts, then asked his butler to carry a letter to Fenrir Island.
  • The butler delivered Willy’s letter to the Beasts, while Dante explained that Caspa had already sent them the Media Family’s confidential intelligence and the other families had already submitted letters of surrender.
  • Ra opened Willy’s letter and concluded that the cautious family head had already begun preparing the way for the Beasts.

Ch. 221The Art of Surrender

Ra explained how the Beasts could absorb the arms families by appointing Willy to manage them and naming Caspa as his deputy. She expected the choice to provoke conflict, which could help move events forward.

  • Wright and Ra discussed Willy's proposal to turn the arms families' arsenals into branch factories using the Beasts' production methods.
  • Ra explained that Willy had recognized the Beasts wanted to spread their weapons worldwide and had positioned himself as a valuable ally.
  • Ra proposed that Willy manage the arms families and that Caspa serve as his deputy.
  • Wright questioned whether the families would accept Caspa, but Ra said their dissatisfaction could push events forward.

Ch. 222Fireworks

Willy and Caspa forced the powerful families to disclose their assets as Beasts pushed ahead with reform. Willy recognized that Caspa was being positioned to absorb the families’ resentment, but wondered whether the young man understood his role.

  • Willy reviewed the families’ asset lists while their representatives complained about the demands and recalled that a defiant family had been destroyed by Beasts.
  • As the representatives tried to leave, Caspa ordered them to sit and confronted one for omitting factories and mines from his family’s list.
  • Caspa rebuked Patriarch Mu for hiding factories, dismissed Willy’s attempt to intervene, and demanded that everyone submit complete asset lists the next day.
  • After the representatives left, Willy reflected that Caspa’s aggressive conduct made his own reforms easier by giving the families someone to blame.
  • Willy concluded that Beasts had chosen Caspa to bear the families’ resentment until the military-industrial Arms Dealers Syndicate was established, and wondered if Caspa had realized it.

Ch. 223Birds of a Feather

Caspa planned to use the Beasts Pirates and a World Government contact to restore the Media Family, while Spandine agreed to pursue a profitable deal without informing his superiors. Meanwhile, Obe and Oshi’s attempt to merge divine power with a Golden Cube failed explosively, leaving them to try the final reef on Burufatt’s map.

  • Caspa told his lackey he intended to use the Beasts Pirates to crush rival families and rebuild the Media Family, then contacted Spandine about a deal.
  • Spandine chose not to report Caspa’s survival and arranged a dinner with Staff Officer Singe to advance his own ambitions.
  • Obe tried to merge indigo divine power with a Golden Cube, but the experiment failed and exploded across the reef.
  • Oshi rescued Obe from the blast, and the two decided to take their experiment to the last uninhabited reef on Burufatt’s map.
