Ch. 244Racing Against Time (Part 2)

Oshi sensed a familiar soul near the Underworld and raced southeast, leaving Obe behind as she used Super Meteor Burst. Meanwhile, Sengoku and the Navy cornered King, and Sengoku attacked him with Buddha Shock after a Vice Admiral briefly trapped him.

  • Oshi and Obe discussed whether Kaido’s crew had already left to fight the World Pirates, and Oshi suddenly flew southeast after sensing something.
  • Oshi revealed she was rushing to return a brat who had wandered near her model display case to the Underworld, then vanished ahead of Obe with Super Meteor Burst.
  • Sengoku and the Navy pursued King, identifying him as a Lunarian and refusing to let him escape.
  • A young Vice Admiral trapped King briefly with Two-Sword Style: Sword Net, giving Sengoku time to strike with Buddha Shock.

Ch. 245Thunder Roar

Burufatt struggled to protect the unconscious Kaido as Navy reconnaissance ships harassed the Beasts Pirates, until Oshi arrived and rallied the crew to turn and face the approaching Navy fleet. The chapter left Burufatt wondering whether they could defeat the legendary Marine Admiral, while Ra confidently said they would win.

  • Burufatt ordered the Beasts Pirates ships to shield Kaido’s flagship, but Navy scouts targeted their sails and forced him to abandon two escort ships.
  • Navy intelligence agents celebrated their attacks until a barrage of Golden Lightning destroyed the submerged reconnaissance ships.
  • Oshi reached the flagship, checked on Kaido, and ordered the Beasts Pirates to turn around and charge the Navy fleet.
  • The crew’s fighting spirit persuaded Burufatt to follow Oshi’s order, and he told her to find King and relay that Ra was treating Kaido.
  • Burufatt worried about facing the Marine Admiral, but Ra assured him they would win.

Ch. 246Declaration of War (5k)

Oshi arrived at the Marines’ fleet, rescued the captured King, and challenged Sengoku after declaring that the Beasts Pirates’ territory would not be invaded. The chapter ended with Oshi facing the fleet alone as Sengoku and Mien prepared to attack her together.

  • Sengoku brought the wounded King aboard his ship and ordered soldiers to restrain and imprison him with Seastone shackles.
  • Oshi arrived at high speed, dodged Sengoku’s punch, and told King that Ra was already treating Kaido.
  • Mien attacked Oshi while she spoke with King, and Sengoku rebuked Mien for insulting her family.
  • Oshi accused the Marines of invading her territory and threatened to leave them there forever, then blasted several warships with Ten Thousand Thunderbolts.
  • Oshi melted King’s Seastone shackles with Lightning Metallurgy and sent him to seek treatment while she stayed to face the Marines.
  • Sengoku tried to stop King from leaving, but Oshi blocked his attack and became the fleet’s target as Mien began Two Sword Style: Sword Net.

Ch. 247Buddha Shockwave

Oshi fought off Sengoku’s forces, biting through Mien Gunn’s sword before Sengoku struck her into the sea with a Buddha Shockwave. She then burst back out of the water, unharmed, and greeted the Marines.

  • Mien Gunn’s swordsmanship cut through Oshi’s afterimage, and she caught his blade between her teeth and shattered it.
  • Oshi lashed Mien Gunn into the sea with her dragon tail, and Sengoku seized the opening to attack her with a Buddha Shockwave.
  • Sengoku ordered his men to retrieve Oshi and Mien Gunn and restrain Oshi with Seastone handcuffs.
  • An Upward Sea Current erupted beneath the Marines, and Oshi emerged from the water and greeted them.

Ch. 248Buddha Sengoku

Oshi pretended to consider Sengoku’s offer to join the Marines while waiting for her divine power to recover. She entered Phase 1 and prepared to fight Sengoku, who transformed into his Great Buddha Form.

  • Sengoku offered Oshi protection, freedom, and a place in the Marines if she stopped helping Kaido.
  • Oshi stalled by acting tempted, while the Marines joined Sengoku in trying to persuade her to surrender.
  • After her cooldown, Oshi revealed she had been waiting for her powers to recover and activated Phase 1.
  • Sengoku transformed into his Great Buddha Form and told the other Marines to protect themselves.
  • Oshi sensed a familiar soul approaching and challenged Sengoku with Roaring Thunder—Eight Trigrams.

Ch. 249Union

Oshi battled Sengoku, using a feint and a lightning-fast sneak attack before refusing his offer to join the Marines. She escaped his grasp and announced the start of a third round, summoning her Stand as another figure appeared behind her in the sky.

  • Oshi clashed with Sengoku's Buddha Shockwave, and he knocked her into the sea while pirates and Marines watched from their ships.
  • Oshi charged Sengoku from beneath the water, disrupted his Observation Haki with a feint, and struck his back, but his Buddha Golden Body repelled her fist.
  • Sengoku praised Oshi's tactics and offered to spare her if she joined the Marines, backing his demand with Conqueror's Haki.
  • Oshi pretended to consider Sengoku's offer, then revealed she had been stalling and dodged his attempt to grab her.
  • Oshi flew beneath a hole in the clouds, struck a pose, and summoned her Stand as a second figure appeared behind her.

Ch. 250Shield and Spear

Oshi and Obelisk confronted Marine Admiral Sengoku in the sky as the Beasts’ fleet approached. The sisters trapped Sengoku in a wind-and-lightning tornado and launched their combined Sky Feather—Dragon Slaying Dance at his golden defense.

  • Oshi and Obelisk teased each other until Sengoku drew their attention and identified himself as a Marine Admiral sent to suppress the Beasts.
  • Obelisk tested Sengoku’s golden defense with a direct strike, suffering powerful recoil, and Oshi proposed using their combined move against him.
  • Oshi spotted the battered Beasts fleet approaching and warned Obelisk that they would soon lose their chance to test the attack.
  • Oshi and Obelisk circled Sengoku at high speed, creating a wind-and-lightning tornado that pinned him in place.
  • Oshi and Obelisk merged their Wings of Wind and Wings of Lightning into a Calamity Spear as Sengoku braced with his Buddha Golden Body.

Ch. 251Thunder and Wind

Ra treated Kaido’s injuries, and Kaido remained asleep by choice while recovering from his near-death battle. Meanwhile, Oshi and Obe struggled against Sengoku until Obe unleashed her hidden power and transformed their attack into a destructive black gale.

  • Ra told Burufatt that Kaido could wake whenever he wanted, while Kaido chose to linger in unconsciousness and savor the aftereffects of World's punch.
  • Oshi and Obe’s Sky Feather Dragon Slaying Dance failed to break through Sengoku’s Buddha Golden Body, and Sengoku’s golden light began overwhelming them.
  • Oshi urged Obe to use her backup hidden energy, and Obe compressed her remaining divine power despite the painful cost.
  • Sengoku tried to seize the opening as the wind-and-lightning attack weakened, but Oshi intensified her lightning while Obe prepared her power.
  • Oshi and Obe transformed their combined attack into a pure black gale that forced back Sengoku’s impact and surged toward the Buddha.

Ch. 252The Tide Turns

Oshi and Obe nearly forced Sengoku into the sea with a combined attack, but Sengoku’s ideals rallied the Marines to help him overcome them. After the two girls were knocked unconscious, Sengoku ordered them captured for study.

  • Oshi boosted Obe with her wings and tail, and together they formed a massive fist of wind and clouds that drove Sengoku toward the sea.
  • Sengoku declared his determination to uphold Dominating Justice, inspiring Mien and the other Geppo-capable Marines to support him while the soldiers sang.
  • Obe blamed Oshi’s taunting for rallying the Marines, but the pair’s power ran out and Sengoku’s golden impact blasted them into the sea unconscious.
  • Sengoku credited the Marines’ support for the victory and ordered Oshi and Obe restrained with Seastone handcuffs rather than killed.
  • Mien’s Rear Admiral friend offered him a famous blade, then leapt off the deck and used Divine Strike.

Ch. 253Unease

Rear Admiral Pado vanished in a mysterious attack, leaving Sengoku unable to detect or counter the enemy. On the Beasts flagship, Ra revealed that Oshi and Obe had lost to the Marine Admiral, and the ship began to rise under an unseen force as the crew hurried to support them.

  • Pado disappeared in midair, and his handcuffs fell into the sea while his Justice Coat drifted onto the warship.
  • Sengoku ordered the crew to take cover, then stayed exposed to draw out the hidden attacker and learn how the assassinations worked.
  • On the Beasts flagship, Ra gestured toward the distant Marines and said Oshi and Obe had lost after confronting the Admiral head-on.
  • Burufatt urged the crew to hurry and rescue Oshi and Obe, but the flagship began to rise as if lifted by an immense invisible force.

Ch. 254Third Declaration of War

Sengoku manipulated the allied pirates into advancing toward Beasts territory after telling them World had died, but a flying Beasts fleet appeared overhead and confronted the Marine and pirate forces. The golden-haired girl asked whether they had entered Beasts territory to declare war, leaving Sengoku and his fleet shaken.

  • Sengoku told the restless pirates that World had died in a clash with the Beasts Pirates and urged them to move ahead and scout the territory.
  • The pirates decided to seize the chance to loot Fenrir, and Sengoku welcomed their advance as a way to draw out the enemy.
  • Sengoku noticed Oshi and another unconscious girl rising into the air as sunlight broke through the dark clouds.
  • A battered flying fleet appeared overhead, and Sengoku realized it belonged to the Beasts Pirates rather than Golden Lion.
  • The golden-haired girl addressed the Marines and pirates, asking whether they had entered Beasts territory to declare war.

Ch. 255The Sun Rises from the Sea

Ra confronted the pirate fleet that had entered Beasts territory, while Sengoku sensed her immense strength and the pirates taunted her over Kaido’s absence. She threw a tiny golden orb into the sea, where it erupted into a sunlike burst, leaving the fleet’s fate unknown.

  • Ra stood at the bow with Burufatt and King as Sengoku’s forces and the trespassing pirates faced Beasts.
  • The pirates mocked Ra and Kaido, but Beasts officers waited for Ra to decide how to respond.
  • Ra set the two little ones down and ignored the pirates until their insults finally irritated her.
  • Ra formed a small golden orb in her palm and tossed it into the sea as Sengoku warned everyone to close their eyes and get down.
  • The orb rose from the ocean as a blazing sun.

Ch. 256Anger

Ra confronted the Marines after vaporizing pirate ships and opening a vast abyss in the sea. Mien rallied the Marines to stand against her, and Ra stopped Sengoku’s attack before asking Mien about the anger mixed into his conviction.

  • Ra’s attack vaporized the pirate ships and crews nearby, leaving the Marines and surviving pirates frozen in silence.
  • Sengoku prepared to answer Ra’s challenge, but Mien declared that the Marines had come to wage war on the pirates in the name of justice.
  • Mien’s defiance helped the shaken Marines raise their heads and stand firm again.
  • Ra appeared inches from Mien and examined him, while Sengoku warned him to move.
  • Sengoku struck Ra with Buddha Shockwave, but she stopped it with one hand and asked Mien what fueled his anger.

Ch. 257Beast at Bay

Ra stopped Mien’s sword strike, rebuked him for relying on anger, and overwhelmed Sengoku as he tried to defend the Marine fleet. After Sengoku unleashed his full Buddha Shockwave and Ra disappeared in the blast, Marines began to believe she was defeated, but a voice behind them suggested the danger was not over.

  • Mien attacked Ra in a rage, but she stopped his blade with two fingers and burned it away, then told him his anger had drained his courage.
  • Ra blasted Sengoku into warships and evaded his attacks, while her strike split the sea beneath him.
  • Sengoku transformed into his Great Buddha Form and unleashed Buddha Shockwave, apparently erasing Ra in a massive explosion.
  • Marine survivors celebrated and discussed their hopes for retirement and promotion, believing the golden fleet should have fallen with Ra.
  • A voice behind the Commodore explained that people revealed their true selves when facing death.

Ch. 259The Brave

Ra watched a commodore and two soldiers face her, then blocked Sengoku’s attack and declared that the war was about to end. The three Marines were swept beneath the sea, while Ra remained unharmed beneath the golden Buddha’s palm.

  • Ra appeared behind the commodore and spoke about how people revealed themselves when facing death.
  • The commodore drew his sword and ordered his two soldiers to flee, but the restless soldier stayed with him.
  • Ra questioned why the restless soldier chose to remain, then refused his request to spare them and revealed she knew Sengoku was approaching.
  • Sengoku attacked Ra with Diamond World, and the resulting waves swept the three Marines into the sea.
  • Ra stopped Sengoku’s palm with one hand and said that, after watching the soldiers, it was time to end the war.

Ch. 260Light Feather

Ra used her Phase 1 form to destroy the pirate ships and Marine fleet, then shattered Sengoku’s Buddha form with a Light Feather. Sengoku’s operation had failed, but he continued fighting to buy time for the surviving Marines to escape.

  • Sengoku unleashed a powerful Buddha palm strike, but Ra countered from below with Diamond World and sent him flying.
  • Kaido awakened, revealed he had been pretending to sleep, and watched Ra’s strength with interest.
  • Ra transformed into her Phase 1 battle form and destroyed the fleeing pirate ships and the Marine fleet with her gaze.
  • Sengoku kept fighting to give the surviving Marines time to escape and launched another Diamond World strike.
  • Ra pierced Sengoku’s descending World Palm with a Light Feather, breaking his Buddha Golden Body.

Ch. 261Defeat

Ra defeated and captured Sengoku after destroying his golden form, and the Beasts Pirates held him on Fenrir Island while demanding ransom from the World Government. After learning of the defeat, Fleet Admiral Kong received their letter and rushed to Mary Geoise to meet with the Gorosei.

  • Ra caught the gravely wounded Sengoku as he fell, and he lost consciousness after murmuring to her.
  • Oshi helped Sengoku wake and put on his glasses, then explained that he was shackled and recovering in Fenrir Island's private ward.
  • Oshi told Sengoku that one of his two-ship units had escaped, while Ra had burned the rest of the Marines at sea.
  • Oshi read Sengoku the Beasts Pirates' ransom letter, which demanded compensation and threatened to condemn the World Government for violating Fenrir's waters.
  • Kong smashed his desk after reading the letter, ordered an audience with the Gorosei, and told his staff to have Garp wait for him.

Ch. 262Third Force

After Sengoku’s defeat, the World Government considered the Beasts’ demands and discussed how to respond to the Navy’s losses. The Gorosei agreed to negotiate while planning a new Third Force of powerful pirates under their command.

  • Kong reported that Sengoku and nearly all of his fleet had been defeated, with only four survivors, and gave Saturn the Beasts’ list of demands.
  • Saturn read the demands and assigned dedicated personnel to negotiate, assuring Kong that the World Government would not abandon Sengoku.
  • Kong told the Gorosei that a golden-haired little girl with flame abilities had defeated Sengoku, and they decided the report did not match the Devil Fruit they feared.
  • The Gorosei agreed to grant the Beasts’ less important demands while withholding sensitive research and reserving the right to revoke some terms later.
  • Saturn proposed recruiting pirates as a Third Force to offset the Navy’s losses, with seven positions stronger than Headquarters Vice Admirals, and the Gorosei approved the plan.

Ch. 263The Deal

Oshi completed the Beasts’ exchange with the Marines, trading the World Government’s requested supplies for the captured Marines and extra goods the Beasts had added to the deal. After returning to the island, she learned that Obe was already developing a secret new alloy for a Signature Weapon and rushed to the laboratory, worried she had never told Obe what weapon she wanted.

  • Oshi greeted Garp and reassured him that Sengoku and the other captured Marines had been treated well.
  • Dante inspected the ten warships’ cargo, confirmed that everything on the list was present, and handed Oshi item 114, a book she gave to Kake.
  • Garp received the keys to the prisoners’ boat, learned the Marine soldier’s name was Kake, and prepared to take Sengoku and the others home.
  • Oshi returned to the island and told Kaido that the ships carried extra liquor, while Burufatt arranged to unload it and received the Marines’ Haki and Six Powers training manuals.
  • Oshi learned that Obe had begun a top-secret New Alloy experiment for her Signature Weapon and hurried to the laboratory after realizing she had not specified what she wanted.

Ch. 264Signature Weapon

Oshi visited Obe’s laboratory to collect her Signature Weapon, discovering it was a crimson brick while Obe kept her own morphing bracelet. Meanwhile, Ra suggested that their group place some of its people among the newly announced Shichibukai.

  • Oshi bypassed Obe’s electronic security system and entered the laboratory, where Obe showed her a morphing bracelet that was Obe’s own Signature Weapon.
  • Obe explained that the bracelet could transform into familiar weapon forms and release powers, but only its owner could fully use it.
  • Obe revealed that Oshi’s Signature Weapon was a crimson brick she had used to prop up a table, and Oshi took it away happily.
  • Obe returned to repairing King’s broken blade and considered adding mechanisms, poison, and Seastone ammunition.
  • Kaido and the others discussed the World Government’s offer to let pirates become Shichibukai, and Ra proposed placing some of their people among them.
