After taking out the two major families, Chen Mo had originally planned to wipe out every mafia force in Brooklyn.

But even if he purged Brooklyn's underworld clean, new forces would soon emerge on this land, grow, fight, and eventually produce a new leader. Nothing would truly change. Brooklyn would still be the same city plagued by poor security, rampant crime, and sin.

Since that was the case, Chen Mo simply decided to take control of the city's underworld himself and solve the problem once and for all.

Though it was merely a spur-of-the-moment decision, who knew what changes it might bring to this world in the future?

The meeting soon drew to a close. After Albert finished explaining the rules and plans Chen Mo had laid out, he stepped back and returned to his place.

Chen Mo, seated in his chair, slowly opened his eyes. He truly could not be bothered to waste words on these people. Fortunately, he had the old butler to save him a great deal of trouble.

After what had just happened, everyone below had already adjusted their attitudes. They looked at Chen Mo with awe and waited for him to speak.

"I won't waste words. From today onward, Brooklyn will have only one family—the Seven Precepts Gang!"

Chen Mo remembered that the organization Obadiah later used to kidnap Tony Stark was called the Ten Rings. Too lazy to come up with a name, Chen Mo decided to call his gang the Seven Precepts Gang, so they would always remember the Seven Family Precepts and obey the rules.

"Yes, Godfather!" everyone below answered in unison.

Chen Mo nodded slightly, rose to his feet, and walked to the wall of the meeting room. Hanging before him was a heavy, solid medieval Tower Shield as tall as a man.

"I'll be away from here for a long time. To keep you—or your future successors—from forgetting the rules I set, I'll leave you a gift."

As Chen Mo spoke, he suddenly threw a punch at the Tower Shield. His fist was unbelievably fast, and the continuous afterimages made everyone's eyes blur.

"Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!"

Seven deafening booms, separated by almost no interval and nearly blending into one, rang out. As everyone's eardrums throbbed with pain, they felt the entire room tremble.

Chen Mo turned and left the meeting room with Albert, leaving the new Seven Precepts Gang leaders staring at one another in stunned disbelief.

Seven deep fist marks had appeared on the massive Tower Shield forged from a single thick steel plate, each one clearly shaped like a fist.

After witnessing Chen Mo dodge bullets, those present had already gained some acceptance of his inhuman strength. After a brief moment of shock, they came back to their senses and rose one after another to take a closer look.

However, just as the first few people reached the Tower Shield, the wall it hung on suddenly shook. Dense cracks spread across the wall around the shield.

The people nearest it hurriedly retreated. They had barely taken a few steps back when the shaking wall collapsed with a roar, revealing a hole over two meters wide.

For a time, the meeting room was filled with dust. After a while, when it had dispersed somewhat, everyone gathered around again.

The bricks that had fallen from the wall were piled beneath it, yet not a single one remained intact. Every last brick had been shattered into fragments by the force of Chen Mo's punches.

The man-high Tower Shield lay quietly atop the rubble, its bright silver surface bearing seven clear fist marks pressed deeply into it.

"Seven Precepts Gang..."

And so, Brooklyn's underworld was unified. A powerful new organization, the Seven Precepts Gang, would firmly control the underworld of all Brooklyn—and even all of New York—in the years to come. Its emblem, a medieval Tower Shield bearing seven fist marks, was solemnly placed in the gang's most important Elder Council chamber.

Late 1943, Brooklyn China Martial Arts School.

Holding a cup of coffee, Chen Mo leaned comfortably into the broad sofa in the living room. He took a sip of the rich coffee. It was still that familiar taste, and he felt utterly satisfied and relaxed. After more than half a year, he had finally tasted coffee brewed by Old Albert himself again.

Howard, seated opposite him, rolled his eyes. "I seriously suspect you were so eager to come back just for this cup of coffee."

"You guessed right." Chen Mo did not even lift his eyes. He was so comfortably sunk into the sofa that he did not want to move at all.

"But it really is good. I wholeheartedly approve of your decision." As Howard spoke, he also held his cup and leaned back into the sofa, raising it now and then for a sip.

Old Albert stood nearby, watching the two men sprawled across the sofa. He shook his head helplessly, though a fond smile rested on his lips.

Ever since Chen Mo had returned, he had led them to infiltrate the docks to rescue people, eliminate the two major families, and bring the underworld under their control. They had not rested for a moment, and everyone was exhausted. Now that the dust had finally settled, they could at last take a proper break.

Peaceful days always passed quickly.

After finishing a pot of coffee, the two men finally sat up from the sofa.

"You've settled everything on your end. Shouldn't we get down to business?" Howard asked Chen Mo seriously.

This time, Chen Mo and Howard had returned together not only to deal with the mafia threat to the Martial Arts School, but also to accomplish two important tasks.

One of them was to invite Dr. Myron MacLain, the creator of the Vibranium shield, to join S.H.I.E.L.D. and research Super Alloy.

Chen Mo was very interested in the legendary Adamantium. If he had guessed correctly, it should have been invented by Dr. MacLane.

Chen Mo concluded that the material used in his Vibranium shield was probably Primary Adamantium, the strongest form of all Adamantium. Unfortunately, it had been created by accident during an experiment, making it one of a kind.

Meanwhile, Wolverine's metal claws and skeleton in X-Men were made from true Adamantium, created after attempts to replicate Primary Adamantium had failed. Its performance was slightly inferior to Primary Adamantium's, but it could be produced on a small scale.

Though the Bulletproof Armor Chen Mo currently used was made of the best special bulletproof alloy available, it was gradually becoming insufficient for his defensive needs.

With Chen Mo's strength and stamina, weight was not an issue. However, excessive thickness would affect the flexibility of his movements. Bulletproof Armor made from current materials could withstand pistols, rifles, and even ordinary-caliber machine guns, but when facing heavy machine guns and anti-aircraft guns, its defensive capabilities were somewhat lacking.

Chen Mo urgently needed a more powerful material to create new Bulletproof Armor capable of providing sufficient protection.

At Howard's reminder, Chen Mo nodded.

"We'll leave tomorrow morning."
