After once again warning the four women not to make any noise, Dan Brandon quietly led them out of the armory and toward the staircase nearest the garage.
Dan Brandon's villa had a total of three staircases. Perhaps afraid they would use the opportunity to escape, the bandits had split into three groups when going upstairs. Beneath the staircase Dan Brandon had chosen, two bandits carrying rifles were climbing toward the second floor!
By the time Dan Brandon and the four women reached the stairwell, the positions of the two bandits shown on the 3D Holographic Projection cast by the Holographic Smartphone on his chest had only moved halfway.
He raised a hand to signal the four women to hide behind the nearby wall. Then, exposing half his body at the stairwell, Dan Brandon aimed the HK416 Assault Rifle in his hands at the bend in the stairs below!
Footsteps came from beneath the stairs. Soon, a bandit holding an automatic rifle came around the corner, but Dan Brandon did not fire immediately.
