Beizawa returned to the office.
After sitting down, he pulled out the curriculum for First Year Class A.
As the homeroom teacher, he taught fewer classes than Umino Iruka, but every subject he covered was of utmost importance.
Three subjects: Will of Fire, Konoha History, and Practical Combat Drills.
Among them, Practical Combat Drills had the most class hours.
A ninja could lack education, but not strength.
Practical Combat Drills mainly taught the Three Body Techniques, basic tool usage, trap detection and setup, and so on.
Time passed slowly, and soon it was the last class—the practical session.
Much like students in his past life, there were eight classes a day, four in the morning and four in the afternoon, each forty-five minutes long.
"This class is a practical session."
Beizawa stood at the classroom door and said, "Everyone, follow me to the training ground."
"Teacher Beizawa, are we going to learn ninjutsu?"
Naruto Uzumaki's eyes lit up as he asked eagerly.
Most students didn't voice the question, but anticipation showed on their faces.
Only those from ninja clans, like Sasuke Uchiha and Shikamaru Nara, remained perfectly calm.
Because they all had family ninjutsu.
While civilian students hadn't yet mastered the Three Body Techniques, they had already learned Fire Release, Gentle Fist, and special secret arts.
And these ninjutsu were things the Ninja Academy teachers couldn't teach even if they wanted to.
Their reason for enrolling was simple: to build connections and expand their knowledge.
Naruto Uzumaki was an exception.
Though he was the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki and the son of the Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze, no one had taught him.
"Your chakra refinement isn't fully familiar yet, so we won't teach ninjutsu for now. This class will cover Kunai Throwing."
Beizawa met their gazes and said.
"Ninja tools are fine too."
Naruto Uzumaki was a little disappointed, but not much.
For a ninja, both ninjutsu and tools were important and commonly used.
"Boring."
Sasuke Uchiha shook his head.
When it came to using ninja tools, few in all of Konoha could match the Uchiha Clan.
Because they possessed the Kekkei Genkai, the Sharingan.
The Sharingan had powerful abilities like perception, hypnosis, and copying.
In handling ninja tools, it accumulated a massive advantage, even leading to the creation of several techniques.
Such as the Art of the Flying Swallow.
Everyone arrived at the training ground.
"Before class starts, I have one more thing to announce."
Beizawa clapped his hands and said, "We're going to select a Class Leader."
"I want to be Class Leader!"
Naruto Uzumaki immediately stood at attention and said.
"Me too!"
Many others spoke up one after another.
Even Sasuke Uchiha was a little tempted.
If he became Class Leader, he might finally get the praise he'd been waiting for.
"Do you know what a Class Leader does?"
Beizawa asked with a smile.
"Manages all the students in the class!"
"I think it's like the Hokage—I'd call it Class Hokage!"
"Class Hokage is mine!"
All kinds of random answers followed.
"The Class Leader's main job is to assist the teacher and help classmates, like passing on the teacher's instructions and collecting homework."
Beizawa's mouth twitched as he said.
He subconsciously glanced at the little boy who had said "Class Hokage."
Hard to deal with?
"Waste of time."
Sasuke Uchiha curled his lip.
If he, a proud member of the Uchiha clan, had to serve these ordinary students, his father wouldn't just scold him—he'd probably spin him like a top.
"Too troublesome."
Shikamaru Nara muttered.
In an instant, most of the students lost interest.
"Anyone who still wants to be Class Leader, please raise your hand."
Beizawa smiled as he saw his goal achieved.
Naruto Uzumaki raised his hand first.
Besides him, there were three others.
"Good."
Beizawa nodded and said, "The four of you are now Vice Class Leaders from today."
"Vice Class Leaders? Then who's the Class Leader?"
Naruto scratched his head, confused.
"I am the Class Leader. Over this semester, I'll be evaluating you."
Beizawa said calmly, "By next semester, the best among you will inherit my position as Class Leader."
[Current Mission: Become the Class Leader of First Year Class A.] [Mission Reward: Water Release.] [Host has completed the mission. Reward issued.]
Beizawa looked at the line of text appearing before him and felt a surge of joy in his heart.
This idiot system was so easy to fool.
Water Release was successfully obtained!
"Alright, now let's start the lesson."
Beizawa took out a Summoning Storage Scroll, placed it on the ground, and opened it.
He formed hand seals, and with a bang, a large number of wooden stakes and kunai appeared from the smoke.
"Vice Class Leaders."
Beizawa instructed, "Two of you, set up the stakes on the training ground. Two of you, hand out the kunai to the students."
"Yes!"
Naruto replied enthusiastically.
In his view, becoming Class Leader would help him achieve his dream—getting everyone to acknowledge him.
"Now, begin practical training."
After spending fifteen minutes explaining kunai throwing techniques, Beizawa said, "Your target is to hit the fixed stakes."
Thwip.
Sasuke raised his hand and threw, using the legendary Gun Kata. The kunai curved mid-air and precisely struck the bullseye of the stake.
"Wow!"
Sakura Haruno led the chorus of surprised gasps from the girls.
You're so flashy.
Beizawa caught the scent of showing off.
This Sasuke Uchiha's mission really was troublesome.
"I can do it too!"
Naruto couldn't stand Sasuke's arrogant attitude and shouted loudly, "Here I go!"
He gripped a kunai and threw it with all his strength.
"Hey, I hit it!"
Naruto glanced over and, aside from his surprise, said excitedly.
"Naruto, that's my stake."
Shikamaru shook his head and reminded him helplessly.
Naruto froze completely.
"Mistakes happen often. Don't get discouraged—just practice more."
Beizawa paused, then said with a smile, "Anyone who hits the bull's-eye, I'll give a snack gift pack."
"Snacks?"
Choji Akimichi's eyes went wide as saucers.
"Awesome!"
The students erupted in cheers.
Though the kids of the shinobi world matured early, they were still children at heart, and the lure of snacks was strong.
"Childish."
Sasuke Uchiha gave a light snort.
He was no longer a three-year-old; he was almost six now!
Driven by the snack incentive, the lesson passed in lively fashion, everyone full of motivation.
"Thank you, Teacher Beizawa!"
The moment the bell rang, Choji Akimichi charged forward, snagging the first spot, proving with his actions what it meant to be a nimble fat kid.
"Hinata, don't leave just yet. Wait for me."
When it was Hinata Hyuga's turn, Beizawa spoke up to remind her.
"Ah... okay."
Hinata Hyuga felt the weight of everyone's stares and couldn't help her face heating up.
She took the snacks, immediately lowered her head, clutched the hem of her clothes, and stood there fidgeting.
"Naruto, this one's for you."
After everyone else had left, Beizawa tossed a snack pack to Naruto Uzumaki.
"I can't take it."
Naruto Uzumaki refused. "I didn't hit the bull's-eye."
In the original story, his grades at the ninja academy were terrible—he was the so-called dead last.
How to put it?
Naruto Uzumaki was a classic stat monster; he didn't need any technique, just brute force.
Of course, there was another reason: the Nine-Tails causing trouble.
In truth, Naruto Uzumaki was a once-in-a-generation genius.
"It's just a matter of time."
Beizawa said with a smile. "Teacher believes you'll definitely make it."
"I..."
Naruto Uzumaki felt a warmth spread through his body.
He held the snacks, not knowing what to say.
"Go home and rest well. See you tomorrow."
Beizawa patted him on the shoulder.
"Yeah!"
Naruto Uzumaki turned and headed out of the school.
When he got home, he found a familiar figure.
"Third Grandpa!"
A look of surprise lit up Naruto Uzumaki's face.
