Above the sky, beneath the Gale Layer hidden within the clouds, Li Qi sat atop Changqiao's head.
Changqiao remained in her true form, circling through the Gale Layer in a "gliding" posture, looking thoroughly excited.
"So, Changqiao, what did you come here for?" Li Qi asked the true dragon beneath him.
"Huh? I saw you here, Li Qi, so I hurried over to follow you!" Changqiao immediately replied.
Li Qi examined Changqiao before him.
She really did not seem to be lying. She had simply spotted Li Qi and happily followed him over.
It suited her character perfectly.
Li Qi formed a hand seal and calculated briefly. Finding no karmic threads entangled behind her, he shook his head. "Fine. Your arrival was timely. I'm exploring the North Pole Spiritual Way. Do you know anything about its background?"
"Oh, the Spiritual Way? Sure, sure, I know these things best." Changqiao flicked her tail. "If you're here sightseeing, I'll be your guide!"
"I'm not here sightseeing. I'm investigating the Spiritual Way's situation. This place is full of illegal migrants. Deep in the North Pole should be much the same, shouldn't it?" Li Qi asked.
"Couldn't you just take one look and know all that, Li Qi? You're a major figure now. You wouldn't be fooled by this, would you?" Changqiao asked, somewhat puzzled.
If he merely wanted to see the situation throughout the North Pole, Li Qi could see it all with a single glance. Why use such a clumsy method?
Li Qi only smiled. "Sometimes, those things aren't so trustworthy. Experiencing it myself feels more real."
"Does listening to me count as experiencing it?" Changqiao asked.
"Isn't that why I'm having you show me around? I'll listen while I look." Li Qi said.
