All heavens revolved according to karmic force.
The karmic force controlled by the Demon Prince stained all living beings, entangling them in karma, delusion, and terror.
His mind caused the Sea of Samsara to become entirely defiled.
His mind caused the Sea of Samsara to contain both mixed defilement and purity.
His mind caused the Sea of Samsara to remain eternally pure throughout the kalpa.
The Demon Prince softly recited, "Since time without beginning, all living beings have falsely imagined and clung to the existence of self, person, living being, and lifespan. Taking the four inversions for the true substance of the self, they gave rise to the two states of hatred and love. Upon a false body, they heavily clung to falsehood again. The two falsehoods depended upon each other, giving rise to the path of deluded karma. Because of deluded karma, they falsely saw transmigration. Those who loathed transmigration falsely saw nirvana. Thus, they could not enter pure awakening."
"It was not that awakening rejected those able to enter it. Rather, those who could enter entered through non-awakening. Therefore, whether thoughts stirred or ceased, all returned to bewilderment. Why was this? Because beginningless fundamental ignorance had arisen as their master. All living beings were born without the eye of wisdom; the natures of body, mind, and all else were ignorance. It was like someone who could not cut off their own life. Thus, one should know: those who loved the self followed me, while those who did not follow gave rise to hatred and resentment. Nourishing ignorance through minds of hatred and love, their ceaseless pursuit of the Dao could never succeed."
What all karmic wisdom failed to see for itself could never be accomplished. Some living beings had not attained yet claimed attainment, had not realized yet
