All the Buddha Children and great bodhisattvas wept without end.
Even though they were mighty beings, they could not restrain themselves at this moment. The cultivators of other Dao lineages around them could barely bear to watch.
Only when one was truly powerless, no matter what one did, would one weep like that.
With one person's strength alone, the problem could not be solved at all.
They did not even know what they could do.
At such times, tears would fall of their own accord.
It was as if despair with nowhere to vent burst from their eyes in the form of tears.
Shariputra especially.
No matter what, he could not bear to see the Buddha enter nirvana.
Thus, only one solution remained.
As the World Honored One Tathagata's foremost disciple, he would enter nirvana before the World Honored One.
The World Honored One Tathagata looked at the disciple before him.

At that moment, a novice monk rushed out from the side. "World Honored One! How can you agree?!"
The novice monk's face was full of shock. To him, even if the Buddha was to pass into extinction, he should not stand by and watch Shariputra go as well.
The World Honored One asked gently, "Ananda, does your wisdom compare to Shariputra's?"
Ananda, the World Honored One Tathagata's youngest and final Buddha Child.
Hearing this, Ananda lowered his head and remained silent.
Shariputra's wisdom was the greatest among the Buddha Children. Of course, Ananda could not compare, so he could not possibly persuade Shariputra. Yet precisely because of this, he had placed his hopes on the World Honored One persuading Shariputra.
