This civilization had only just entered the industrial age, having been in it for roughly two hundred years. They had learned to establish large-scale information networks and operated a public network shared by all, though they could choose to seal off certain regions.
Overall, things remained fairly balanced. Yet war had never vanished, and frictions arose from time to time. The clouds of world war hung over the entire globe, but voices condemning war had never been few.
Most places were still peaceful, and some rather decadent cultures had even emerged.
As an alien carrying a pile of black technology, with a corpse following behind her, Little Reboot fell from the sky and landed in a local basement, where she encountered a man who lived there.
He seemed utterly dispirited, immersed in games and fantasies. Then one day, his fantasy suddenly came true.

After that, many ridiculous things happened. That dispirited man found his dreams again and, with the aid of the black technology that had fallen from the heavens, became someone others respected. Yet in the end, he did not cling to any of those things. After finding his true love, he watched Little Reboot leave.
That experience left Little Reboot deeply moved, because at first, the man had believed himself to be the chosen one and tried to get handsy with her, so she beat him up.
Little Reboot immediately planned to run away. It did not seem like there was anything fun here.
