"Was the fighting over, Officer?" the waitress asked.
"Yes, the fighting was over. But you probably knew I wasn't really a police officer, didn't you?" Zhang Heng paused before adding, "Where's the cargo?"
"What cargo?" The waitress looked utterly bewildered.
"The cargo from tonight's transaction. Your three companions are already dead, so the cargo can only be on you," Zhang Heng said calmly.
The waitress's expression changed slightly. She took half a step back, but still forced herself to remain calm. "I don't know what you mean, Officer... I'm a waitress at the Sizhou Hotel. I have more than three companions."
"No, you're not a hotel waitress," Zhang Heng said. "I suspected you the first time I saw you. Although you kept acting frightened and panicked, the demeanor you inadvertently revealed didn't resemble that of a waitress.
"Besides, according to you, you encountered someone wearing Exoskeleton Gear in the corridor, yet he ignored you afterward. That alone was strange. For the death trap in Room 936 to work, he couldn't possibly leave you alive."
"Maybe... because I was just an insignificant little waitress with no threat to him, and he softened up and let me go." The waitress's smile was somewhat forced.
"Impossible. Those people are all Mr. G's fanatical believers. They're willing to give their lives for their ideals, so why would they care whether an irrelevant person lived or died?" Zhang Heng said. "And afterward, to further confirm whether there was anything suspicious about you, I had you go to the Linen Room to get stain remover."
"I brought you the stain remover." The waitress widened her eyes, looking very innocent.
"That's right, but you took too long," Zhang Heng said. "If you really were a hotel waitress, you would definitely know where the stain remover was kept.
