The elevator soon arrived outside Room 3094. As the doors slid open, Electronic Sheep instinctively tried to shrink behind Zhang Heng, but then he remembered that Xu Qian might be in the room. He forcibly stopped himself from backing away and decided to show some manly courage.
But the sight before him left him stunned. The entire apartment living room was as bare as the shelves of a Black Friday store. There was not even a roll of toilet paper in sight. Not only was Xu Qian herself gone, but all the furniture had vanished as well. Other than the air conditioner and heating unit that had come with the apartment, the living room was completely empty.
Zhang Heng then checked the bedroom, Xu Qian's studio, kitchen, and bathroom. They were all in the same condition as the living room, so he put away the handgun in his hand.
