"Wait, what exactly is it that you produce?"
Electronic Sheep had already sensed that something was off when they passed through Customer Service. After seeing the excessive number of servers below, that feeling only grew stronger. By the time Qiu Ming introduced the Design Department, even with his slow reactions, Electronic Sheep had finally guessed what Shen Tang Morgan's product was.
"Clones? This is your clone production base?"
Yet, to Electronic Sheep's surprise, Qiu Ming shook his head. "No. It isn't."
"If not clones, then what? Don't tell me it's some massive immersive online game?"
Qiu Ming said nothing and simply swiped his card to enter the Design Department.
Unlike the previous departments, the Design Department had an entirely different style. The first thing one felt upon entering was silence. Presumably to serve its creators, the place had been designed as a series of glass rooms. The glass could automatically adjust its color until the outside was completely invisible. Special soundproof glass was also used; even sounds exceeding one hundred decibels could not be heard inside.
Besides that, Electronic Sheep saw several screenwriters searching for inspiration. They pulled video footage of an entire neighborhood from the servers, then carefully watched the life paths of everyone in it, trying to sift out material they could use.
Electronic Sheep even spotted a massive screening room on the other side of the corridor, containing over a thousand screens that displayed the daily lives of every resident in the neighborhood.
"Surveillance on this scale is already illegal, isn't it?" Electronic Sheep asked, his expression changing slightly.
"No, it isn't illegal," Qiu Ming said. "Everyone in the videos volunteered. They all signed agreements consenting to the collection of their information."
"How could there be something like that? I've never heard of it."
"There are many
