After acquiring this F-rank little prop, Zhang Heng had tested it a few times. The soda flavors really were random—not just normal flavors found on the market, like apple or strawberry, but also rarer ones such as durian and bitter melon. There was nothing wrong with drinking them; only the taste varied in quality.
After Fan Mei Nan finished hers, Zhang Heng made another two bottles for Ma Lu and himself.
Ma Lu's bottle was a minor disaster—it was tomato-flavored—while Zhang Heng got a bottle of sea salt-flavored soda. The three of them waited a while longer, until Infinite Blocks' cooldown had reset, before setting out again.
Some color had returned to Fan Mei Nan's cheeks, but the sweat on her forehead showed that she was far from comfortable. This had been the most strenuous day since her condition worsened, yet she still gritted her teeth without a word of complaint.
The passage was not long. According to the original construction plans, it should have led to the surface, but its far end had now been sealed off with concrete. Ma Lu had already expected this. After all, this subway line had been abandoned for decades, and aside from the platform they had descended through, it would be difficult to find another route leading directly outside. Still, seeing it confirmed with his own eyes left him somewhat disappointed.
