This could originally have been handled with a single text message, but there was no helping it. With the God of Mobile Phones still missing, they could only use other means of communication until he was found and rescued again.
Brynhildr typed the final character, clicked send, then turned around and smiled at the God of Machines on the sofa.

The God of Machines did not speak. His eyes furtively scanned the room, taking in every mechanical object in the lounge. Give him one minute—no, half a minute—and he could assemble the computer beside Brynhildr, the wall clock behind her, and the Coffee Machine at the snack bar into a mechanical sword.
