After waiting another half minute or so, Zhang Heng emerged after washing his hands. The female employee in the cheongsam continued leading the way, passing the first large conference room.

"Thank you." Zhang Heng sensed no hostility from her, but he did not relax his guard because of that. He straightened his suit and walked into the room.
Zhang Heng was not the first to arrive. Five buyers had gotten there before him. Three of them surprisingly knew one another and sat together, chatting in low voices, while the other two sat some distance away from them.
There was little interaction between them. One had his eyes closed in rest, while another played on his phone. Like Zhang Heng, everyone in the room wore a mask, leaving Zhang Heng unable to observe their expressions or judge their attitudes toward him.
