Zhang Heng chose to leave through the secret passage on the first basement level instead of taking the main entrance, catching Fulou off guard. In their haste, they could only rely on the snipers who had already occupied observation points and the nearest security squad to stop him.
Unfortunately, for some unknown reason, the snipers fired only one shot before falling silent, with no further movement. Without sniper support, the security squad had more men and supposedly greater firepower, but they were no match for Zhang Heng. They lasted less than two minutes before being completely crushed.
The Captain, formerly a SWAT officer, took two bullets and fell to the ground. He shifted into drive and floored the accelerator. With the engine roaring, the A4 sped toward the parking garage exit.
