Zhang Heng did not have to put in much effort and soon settled into life at the estate.
During the day, he spent most of his time hunting with Hemingway and his friends, discussing poetry and literature, or listening to Asimov ramble about the future worlds he had constructed. Zhang Heng was certainly no match for Asimov when it came to science fiction writing, but because he had experienced the future instances The Leaker and The Bodyguard, some of his descriptions of the future also greatly interested Asimov.
The latter was preparing to gather all the science fiction writers at the estate into a small club, and Zhang Heng, who had been spending a lot of time with Asimov lately, was fortunate enough to be invited as the club's second member.
In addition, after solving a burglary at the estate, Zhang Heng had unexpectedly made contact with another rather strange little group, although the burglary was ultimately proven to have been staged by that group themselves.

But when he discovered that Zhang Heng's method of deduction was deductive reasoning, Conan Doyle was clearly intrigued and ultimately obediently gave him his room number.
