Things like, "Shocking Truth: Dinosaurs Were Actually Wiped Out by Aliens!" Though this time, the shock-news department might have finally stumbled onto the truth by sheer luck. After making things up so many times, they had finally guessed right once. There were also gems like "Evidence That Aliens Visited Earth Long Ago!" and "Chinese People Are Actually the Ancestors of Aliens: 11 Irrefutable Proofs!"—the kind of nonsense that left people full of question marks.

So Zhang Heng recalled Lin Sisi's weekly journal again and changed his keyword combination, searching for aliens + disaster + stop. To prevent anyone from directly deleting information from the database, he also set up a VPN to get past the firewall. Although Google had withdrawn from mainland China, Google's search crawlers were still tirelessly collecting information from Chinese websites, making a good complement to Baidu Snapshot.

This time, they did find some posts worth reading. Zhang Heng simply turned on two computers, and he and Bai Qing spent ten minutes going through them all. However, the only post whose content matched was merely a short horror sci-fi story conceived by a novelist. That post had not been deleted, but despite the author's enthusiastic upload, there were very few replies below it, and the few comments that did exist were mostly criticism.
