Zhang Heng opened the building's entrance door, and Shen Xixi came upstairs shortly afterward, staring at the living room in utter disarray.

"Did you just have a fight in here?"

"No, the fight was in the bedroom. As for the living room... it was merely an honest recreation of the natural living environment of contemporary young men and women."

"I don't think their relationship can really be called that of a couple," Zhang Heng said. "Perhaps the man does like the woman, or he wouldn't have gone along with something like this. But the woman probably doesn't have those feelings for him, at least for now."

"Why do you say that?"

"Before you came up, I did a quick search of the apartment and found that it was missing something couples use most often."

"A lone man and woman living under the same roof for over a week, apparently without leaving the apartment much. If they were attracted to each other, it would be hard to suppress the urge to take things further."
