Nelly saw the half-human, half-fish-frog monsters rushing in from all directions, as if they were about to swallow them whole.
But in the next moment, her head had already broken through the surface, and she saw the sun outside again.
Before this, Nelly had never imagined that the sun she saw every day could be so lovely.
Especially when the sunlight fell on her again, Nelly felt warmer than ever before.

A particularly muscular black shadow suddenly leaped from beneath the water. It had used one of its companions' backs as a springboard, allowing it to jump far higher than it could have directly from the water.
High enough to grab Zhang Heng's ankle.
Shadow Wings could only carry two people to begin with. Nelly and Han Lu were both women and not particularly heavy, but they and Zhang Heng were also carrying full sets of diving equipment. The moment they left the water, Zhang Heng felt the strain of flight.
Their speed dropped again, and they were only barely still rising. Then, with another half-human, half-fish-frog monster hanging from him, Shadow Wings could no longer support such a weight.
The three of them began falling back toward the water.
Even at a time like this, Zhang Heng remained absolutely calm. He visually gauged the distance to the nearest reef.
Then he hurled Nelly and Han Lu toward it with all his strength. Throwing the two women
