Sun Wukong stepped forward to untie the ropes and lower Zhu Bajie, all while muttering mockingly and saying with a grin:
"Who would've thought I had such an impressive junior brother... a Bodhisattva was actually eager to marry him! No wonder you kept thinking about Gao Cuilan from Gao Family Village all along the way, and immediately forgot all about those four women from yesterday. After all, she was a Bodhisattva!"
Zhu Bajie's face instantly grew even hotter.
Sha Wujing, who had caught up by then, looked rather bewildered.
"Ah?"
"Second Senior Brother already has a family?"
"Then why was he going to settle down here and become someone's live-in son-in-law?"
Sha Wujing had merely asked out of instinctive curiosity, but to Zhu Bajie, the words felt like blades scraping across his face. His face flushed blood-red as he covered it, too ashamed to look at Sun Wukong and the others.
Sun Wukong said with a chuckle:
"Of course he does."
"Your Second Senior Brother often says that once the scripture pilgrimage is over, he'll return to Gao Family Village and live a good life with your sister-in-law Cuilan. Who knew he'd forget it all in the blink of an eye?"
"A Bodhisattva really is better..."
Zhu Bajie said in a muffled voice:
"Monkey Brother, stop talking!"
"Just let me off this once!"
Back when he saw him arguing with demons, he had never noticed it. Why did he only realize now that this damned monkey had such a sharp, annoying tongue?
Then he bowed deeply to Tang Sanzang and said shamefully:
"Master, Old Pig was muddleheaded for a moment... From now on, I'll never dare abandon you again. I'll honestly and diligently escort you to Western Heaven for the scriptures. I'll never make another mistake!"
