"Who are you?"

Andres had no impression of this elderly gentleman.

The old gentleman bowed to Andres. "I am the butler of the Daniel Family. At Miss Aniya's request, I came to visit Mr. Alex."

Andres's heart stirred. "Could Alex's injuries be related to Aniya?"

Andres did not know how things had been going between Alex and Aniya these past few days.

"This is the place. Please come in," Andres said.

"Thank you."

The old gentleman bowed again, then entered the hospital room.

"Mr. Karel."

When the old gentleman entered the room, Alex's expression changed upon seeing him.

"Mr. Alex." Karel gave a slight bow. "Miss Aniya learned what happened to you and specifically sent me here."

Karel took a money pouch from his robe. It was bulging, clearly filled with quite a few gold coins.

"Although this matter is not directly related to Miss Aniya, she feels terribly sorry about it. This is a small token of the young lady's apology." Karel placed the pouch on the table beside the bed.

"No, I can't accept this!" Alex said anxiously, struggling to sit up.

"Rest properly." Helen pressed Alex back onto the bed.

Karel continued, "Miss Aniya also asked me to tell you not to look for her again. Otherwise, she fears what happened today may happen again. She does not want to bring you harm."

Alex's face turned pale. There was a trace of struggle in his eyes, but in the end, he merely let out a long sigh and said nothing.

"Then I'll be taking my leave." Karel bowed and left the room.

Andres had been standing by the door the entire time. After Karel came out, he closed the door to the room and asked, "Mr. Karel, why was my younger brother injured like this?"

Karel gave Andres a surprised look, but did not suspect anything. "You didn't know? It was because of Marquis Gallo."

"Marquis Gallo?" A cold glint flashed through Andres's eyes. "My brother should have had no dealings with him. Why did he hurt my brother?"

Karel sighed. "Marquis Gallo is pursuing my young lady, but she has never agreed. However, Marquis Gallo is domineering by nature. Any suitor who shows interest in Miss Aniya receives his warning."

"Although the young lady is extremely dissatisfied with this, there is nothing she can do. Things like what happened today have happened before. Even when my master intervened, he had no way to stop Marquis Gallo." Karel could not help sighing again as he spoke.

Although Marquis Daniel was a Level Eight Warrior, his status in the Oga Kingdom still could not compare to Marquis Gallo's.

"By the way, sir, please do not spread word of what happened today. I'm not trying to protect Marquis Gallo. I simply do not want any of you to face danger again. If word gets out, I fear Marquis Gallo will come trouble you all again." Karel offered the warning out of kindness.

"Thank you, Mr. Karel. We know what to do," Andres said calmly.

After watching Karel leave, Andres returned to the hospital room.

"Second brother, was Marquis Gallo the one who injured you?" Andres did not waste words and directly sought confirmation from Alex.

Raul and Helen were both startled, then turned to look at Alex.

Alex knew he could no longer hide it and could only confess. "Although I have no conclusive evidence, I can't think of anyone else but him."

Andres said in a deep voice, "Tell me exactly what happened."

At this point, Alex no longer concealed anything and explained everything in detail. "You know that I've recently been pursuing Aniya. After training every day, I would go to Marquis Daniel's residence to ask to see her, invite her to dinner, art exhibitions, and concerts. Though she never agreed, she was willing to be friends with me first."

"Five days ago, I received a warning sent by Marquis Gallo. He told me not to get close to Aniya. I had long known that Marquis Gallo was pursuing Aniya, but I thought we were merely competing fairly, so I did not take his warning seriously."

"Then today, not long after I finished training and left the Kingdom Knights, I was attacked by two mysterious people. They were completely shrouded in black robes, so I couldn't see their faces. But they were very strong, both Level Seven Warriors. The injuries on my body were inflicted by them."

"After I was injured, two friends found me and brought me here."

Andres listened silently the entire time. Although Alex had been attacked by two mysterious people, there was a ninety-percent chance that Marquis Gallo had ordered it.

There were not many people in Oga City who could send out two Level Seven Warriors, and even fewer had a motive to do such a thing. Marquis Gallo was the only one.

"Brother, I didn't want to tell you before because I was afraid you would seek revenge for me. I know you're now a Level Eight Warrior and have joined the Holy Alliance, but Marquis Gallo has a powerful background. His father, the Ninth Prince, is also a Holy Alliance Trainee. Our family's foundation is still shallow, so we shouldn't provoke him. We can make plans after your strength improves," Alex said.

Raul also said, "Alex, your concerns are right. Andres, although this is hard to accept, it would be best for us to endure it for now. You may be a Level Eight Warrior, but there must be many experts in Marquis Gallo's residence. On your own, it will be difficult for you to do anything to him."

Andres smiled faintly. "Don't worry. I know what to do."

As he spoke, he walked toward the door.

Feeling uneasy, Raul called out, "Andres, where are you going?"

"Father, I won't act impulsively."

Andres had already reached the door. After saying that, he left the hospital room.

The moment he stepped outside, his expression turned icy.

He understood his family's concerns, but Raul and the others did not know the extent of his strength.

He was no ordinary Level Eight Warrior.

In all of Oga City, the only person worthy of his notice was the commander of the Kingdom Knights.

But Trevor had already told him that although the commander of the Kingdom Knights was at Peak Level Nine, he had not even comprehended the realm of "lifting light as though heavy." It would not be difficult for Andres to defeat him.

"Marquis Gallo?" Andres sneered and walked out of East City Medical Hall.

Night had already fallen. Alone, he made his way to Oga Avenue, where royalty and nobles gathered.

Marquis Gallo's residence was also there. It was grand and conspicuous, and Andres found it with ease.

He walked up to the residence gates and asked the guards calmly, "Is Marquis Gallo in the residence?"

The two guards sized Andres up and down. "Who are you? Not just anyone can see the Marquis. State your identity, and we will go in to report it."

At that, Andres grinned. "So that means he is in the residence right now."

He immediately stepped forward and walked into the residence.
