Ch. 1Andres

After awakening as Andres, a Level Seven Warrior in the Coiling Dragon World, he left his room and went to find Inori after the war in Black Mountain City. There, he saw the system’s quest to help Inori become Duke Demian, which would let him bind her Fire Elemental Lesser God talent.

  • Andres recalled that he had transmigrated into the body of a guard captain who died saving Inori from a Level Eight Warrior.
  • Two guards told Andres that Inori was at the clinic and that the group would return to the Royal Capital later.
  • Andres left the city lord’s residence and found Inori treating wounded people at the crowded clinic.
  • Andres saw the system identify Inori’s talent and set the condition for binding it: help her become Duke Demian.

Ch. 2Inori's Ambition

Andres accompanied Inori as she departed Black Mountain City for the Royal Capital after the Beastmen invasion was defeated, while realizing her kindness to the citizens concealed a calculating nature. As he considered the coming struggle for Sovereign Sparks, he decided his hopes of becoming a god might depend on Inori.

  • Andres joined Inori in tending to the wounded and heard her thank Black Mountain City's citizens before departing.
  • A little girl named Irene gave Inori a clean handkerchief, which Inori accepted warmly in front of the citizens.
  • Alone in her room, Inori tore Irene's handkerchief to pieces after removing her armor.
  • Inori and her army left Black Mountain City for the Royal Capital, with Andres riding behind her.
  • Andres reflected that magic and the Sovereigns might not yet exist, resolved to grow stronger, and thought Inori might be his path to godhood.

Ch. 3Family

After returning victorious to Oga City, Andres reunited with his family and learned that the king planned to promote him to baron and give him an important military post. His parents urged him to consider marriage, while Andres remained focused on growing stronger.

  • Andres returned to Oga City with the army, where Bonus and the nobles welcomed the victors and praised Inori as commander.
  • Andres skipped the palace banquet and went home, where Helen, Raul, and Alex greeted him with relief.
  • Andres encouraged Alex to keep training so he could graduate from the Warrior Academy.
  • Helen and Raul urged Andres to marry and told him that merchants and nobles had already approached them with proposals.
  • Raul explained that the king intended to promote Andres from Kingdom Knight to baron and appoint him to an important military post, which had attracted marriage prospects.

Ch. 4Rewards

Andres received a non-hereditary baronial title and was assigned to Black Iron Castle, where Inori wanted him to manage her new fief. He agreed to serve her, then learned that she also expected him to train a group of powerful people.

  • Raul and Helen urged Andres to meet influential marriage prospects, and he agreed to visit them without committing to marriage.
  • Andres visited wealthy merchants and nobles but formed only ordinary relationships with them.
  • The king awarded Andres the title of Baron Mitchell and assigned him as captain of the guard at Black Iron Castle in Inori's fief.
  • Inori told Andres that she had asked the king to send him to Black Iron Castle instead of the Kingdom Knights, and Andres accepted the assignment.
  • Inori thanked Andres by taking his hand, and Andres pretended to be moved by her affection.
  • Inori told Andres that she wanted him to train a group of powerful people as well as manage her fief.

Ch. 5Goblin Merchant Guild

Andres visited the Goblin Merchant Guild to select talented child slaves for Inori’s planned warrior training group and hoped to find a genius he could bind. Just as he was preparing to choose candidates, he learned that a newly arrived slave named Teresa had Wind Element Super-Grade Talent, though the Guild had said it would not sell children with that distinction.

  • Inori tasked Andres with buying one hundred children with clean backgrounds and decent talent to train for her territory.
  • Andres met Ivan Marco and Robert at the Goblin Merchant Guild’s Oga Kingdom branch and reviewed its slave records.
  • Andres noted Melissa, an eight-year-old with Water Element Medium Grade Talent, among the possible candidates.
  • Ivan told Andres that the Guild would keep any children with Super-Grade Talent for its own training.
  • Arnold interrupted the meeting and announced that a newly arrived child named Teresa had Wind Element Super-Grade Talent.

Ch. 6Teresa

Andres discovered that the enslaved boy Teresa was the Wind Elemental Grand Perfection talent from the original story and received a quest to help him grow stronger and avenge his father. Teresa’s identity confirmed that Andres was in the Dylan Material Plane, before the Sovereign Sparks appeared.

  • Ivan and Arnold hurried to meet Teresa, and Andres persuaded Ivan to let him come along.
  • Ivan and Arnold led Andres through the Goblin Merchant Guild’s slave quarters and explained that Teresa was an orphan whose soldier father had been killed by Beastmen.
  • Arnold introduced Teresa, a silver-haired boy, and Andres’s system identified his Wind Elemental Grand Perfection talent and issued the Heart of the Strong quest.
  • Andres learned the quest’s objectives: help Teresa become a Level One Warrior, help him reach the Saint Domain, and help him kill Mad Blade Resior to avenge his father.
  • Andres realized Teresa was the figure from the original story and concluded that they were in the Dylan Material Plane before the Sovereign Sparks appeared.

Ch. 7Binding Quest

Andres arranged to train Teresa so he could help him begin cultivating and earn a wind-element Demigod-level talent reward. After selecting children for Inori’s purchase, Andres found no other promising talent like Teresa and prepared to begin teaching him at the guild.

  • Andres examined Teresa’s Binding Quests and realized they reflected Teresa’s desire to become strong and avenge his father by killing Mad Blade Resior.
  • Andres offered to teach Teresa, and Ivan agreed on the condition that the training take place inside the Goblin Merchant Guild under supervision.
  • Andres agreed to begin Teresa’s training that day, then remembered he still needed to handle Inori’s purchase of one hundred slaves.
  • Andres selected children with relatively good aptitude and checked their backgrounds, but none besides Teresa had Demigod talent or triggered the System.

Ch. 8Wind Lower God Talent

Andres trained Teresa for a month while preparing to leave for Ironstone Town with the Demian Family. Teresa broke through to Level One, completing part of his Binding Quest and granting Andres Wind Lower God Talent.

  • Andres began teaching Teresa to temper his body and cultivate Battle Qi, and abandoned Inori's Binding Quest to accept Teresa's.
  • Andres trained Teresa daily while the Demian Family prepared to take over Ironstone Town with a large party and an army.
  • Helen urged Andres to ask the king to let him stay in the Royal Capital, but Andres said the party would depart in a few days.
  • Andres received the Heart of the Strong quest reward, Wind Lower God Talent, after Teresa's breakthrough completed one part of the quest.

Ch. 9Six Years

Andres left Oga City for Ironstone Town after ending his lessons with Teresa and saying goodbye to his family. Inori promised his parents that she would eventually bring him back to the Royal Capital with a hereditary title and territory, and Andres set off with Fabio and a large party; he remained in Ironstone Town for six years.

  • Andres told Teresa he was leaving and said Ivan would arrange a stronger teacher for him.
  • Andres visited Ivan, then joined the Demian Family's party outside Oga City three days later.
  • Andres said goodbye to Alex, Helen, and Raul, who urged him to succeed in Ironstone Town.
  • Inori arrived, apologized to Andres's parents, and promised to bring him back with a hereditary title and territory when the time was right.
  • Inori introduced Fabio, a skilled manager who would accompany Andres to Ironstone Town.
  • Andres and Fabio led the party out of Oga City, and Andres stayed in Ironstone Town for six years.

Ch. 10A Letter

After comprehending Drawing Upon Heaven and Earth, Andres decided to return to the Royal Capital to guide Teresa and improve his talent before confronting Resior. A letter from Alex revealed that the Beastmen prince was preparing to lead a new war near Black Mountain City.

  • Instructors urged the children training at Black Iron Castle to work hard and seek noble titles through loyalty to Count Inori.
  • Andres comprehended Drawing Upon Heaven and Earth after six years in Ironstone Town, though he worried that reaching Peak Level Nine would take him too long.
  • Andres decided to return to the Royal Capital to help Teresa reach the Saint Domain and postpone hunting Resior until he was stronger.
  • Rami delivered a letter from Alex, who reported that he had become a Level Six Warrior and joined the Kingdom Knights.
  • Alex warned Andres that Resior would command a new Beastmen war near Black Mountain City and that Count Inori might lead the Oga Kingdom's forces.

Ch. 11Return to Black Mountain City

After learning that Resior would lead the Beastmen against Black Mountain City, Andres set out to join Inori and arrived as the city prepared for war. Pat welcomed him and led him toward a council meeting, where they encountered Gerant.

  • Andres learned from Fabio that Inori had taken command at Black Mountain City against Resior's Beastmen army and decided to leave Ironstone Town.
  • Andres traveled west for half a month and reached Black Mountain City, where Pat recognized him and welcomed him inside.
  • Pat told Andres that the Beastmen forces were stronger than they had been six years earlier and warned that the fighting would be brutal.
  • Pat led Andres to the lord's manor council hall to meet Inori, but their approach was interrupted when Pat spotted Gerant.

Ch. 12Before the Battle

Andres and Pat arrived at Black Mountain City but were barred from the council meeting by Gerant, who claimed Inori did not wish to see Andres. Andres then surveyed the Beastmen army from the eastern wall and spotted a Level Eight Gale Eagle circling overhead.

  • Gerant blocked Andres and Pat from entering the council hall, saying Inori would not see Andres before the battle meeting.
  • Mars, Marquis Daniel, and Vice Commander Alisson arrived at the hall as Andres and Pat waited outside.
  • Andres asked Pat to take him to the eastern wall so he could assess the Beastmen army and prepare to kill Resior.
  • Andres saw that three hundred thousand Beastmen were camped outside Black Mountain City, outnumbering the Oga Kingdom's forces by one hundred thousand.
  • Andres noticed a Level Eight Gale Eagle circling high above the city.

Ch. 13Holy Alliance

Teresa flew over the Beastmen camp with Gaston and learned that entering the Holy Alliance could help him gain the guild’s support to kill Resior. After the Gale Eagle left Black Mountain City, an Inori Guard summoned Andres to meet Inori.

  • Pat spotted the Level Eight Gale Eagle and feared it belonged to the Beastmen, while Andres doubted that a Beastmen expert had arrived.
  • Teresa asked Gaston to help him kill Resior, but Gaston refused because the Goblin Merchant Guild stayed neutral in the conflict.
  • Gaston told Teresa that proving himself worthy of the Holy Alliance could raise his standing in the guild and make its experts willing to help him take revenge.
  • Gaston explained that Holy Alliance experts had come to assess Inori’s potential during the war, while Teresa remained focused on killing Resior.
  • The Gale Eagle flew away from Black Mountain City, and an Inori Guard told Andres that Inori wanted to see him.

Ch. 14Surprise Attack

Andres returned to Black Mountain City and learned that Inori’s Binding Quest now required helping her become Queen of the Oga Kingdom. Before he could pursue Resior, Resior’s Fire Dragon attacked the city as a Beastmen army began its night siege.

  • Andres met Inori, whose Binding Quest had changed to require her becoming Queen of the Oga Kingdom.
  • Inori ordered Andres to join Gerant’s guard unit, and Andres accepted so he could remain in the city and wait for a chance to target Resior.
  • A Level Eight Fire Dragon attacked Black Mountain City’s walls, burning soldiers with its breath before arrows drove it into the sky.
  • Inori ordered the city’s commanders to prepare for battle as the Beastmen army advanced under cover of darkness.
  • Andres joined Inori on the city wall with Mars, Daniel, and Alisson while Oga Kingdom soldiers fired arrows at the besieging Beastmen.

Ch. 15Bloody Battle

The Beastmen attacked Black Mountain City with ladders, gunpowder, and catapults as Inori and the defenders fought to hold the walls. The Beastmen then brought ten enormous Siege Towers against the city and opened broad passageways, allowing their soldiers to surge onto the ramparts.

  • The Oga Kingdom's archers targeted Beastmen carrying Scaling Ladders, while gunpowder explosions slowed the advancing army.
  • Inori warned that Resior must have more forces ready, and Marquis Daniel sliced apart a boulder headed toward them.
  • The Beastmen used catapults to bombard the walls, then set surviving Scaling Ladders against them as defenders poured hot oil and fired flaming arrows.
  • Ten Siege Towers advanced toward Black Mountain City, and the defenders' gunpowder could not damage their thick special-metal construction.
  • The Siege Towers connected to the walls, lowered broad metal passageways, and let Beastman soldiers charge onto the ramparts.

Ch. 16The Battle Reached a Boiling Point

Beastmen forces stormed the walls of Black Mountain City, and Mars led Oga Kingdom’s reserve army into the close-quarters battle. The Wind Wolf Cavalry and Zhuo Ge turned the tide against Mars’s soldiers, leaving Mars and Marquis Daniel to face Zhuo Ge together.

  • Beastmen soldiers surged across the Siege Tower passage, and Mars led his reserve army into the fight while Inori stayed behind with Marquis Daniel.
  • Mars’s trained soldiers pushed the Beastmen back, but Inori spotted magical beasts gathering beyond the Siege Tower.
  • Hundreds of Wind Wolves and their riders charged into the battle under Zhuo Ge, forcing Mars’s army back.
  • Marquis Daniel confronted Zhuo Ge, but the Wind Wolf King attacked him with Wind Blades.
  • Mars shielded Marquis Daniel, and the two agreed to fight Zhuo Ge together.

Ch. 17All Trump Cards Revealed

The Oga Kingdom turned the battle against the Beastmen after Gaston sent the Kingdom Knights to confront the Wind Wolf Cavalry. As Gaston fought the Fire Dragon in the air and Andres waited for Resior, a cloaked Beastman suddenly attacked Inori from behind.

  • Marquis Daniel and Mars fought Zhuo Ge and the Wind Wolf King while the Oga Kingdom's forces struggled against the Wind Wolf Cavalry.
  • Inori ordered Vice Commander Gaston to deploy the Kingdom Knights, who overwhelmed the Wind Wolf Cavalry and drove the Beastmen back toward the Siege Towers.
  • The Fire Dragon attacked the Kingdom Knights, but Gaston intercepted it with his spear and rode a Red-plumed Griffin into an aerial battle.
  • Andres searched for Resior and held back, believing that intervening might make the Beastmen retreat.
  • A small Beastman in a black cloak crept behind Andres and Inori, then sprang at Inori with a black dagger.

Ch. 18Scarlet Scale Serpent

A Beastman assassin attacked Inori, but her Scarlet Scale Serpent stopped him, and Gerant’s guards surrounded him. Resior arrived on a catapulted boulder and launched a saber strike at Inori, leaving Andres eager to kill him and claim Highgod talent.

  • A concealed Level Eight Beastman assassin tried to stab Inori, but her Scarlet Scale Serpent blocked his dagger and bit his hand.
  • Gerant, Inori’s Unicorn, the guard squad, and Andres surrounded the wounded assassin, who cut off his poisoned right arm and fought while losing blood.
  • Resior appeared atop a boulder hurled at the city wall, and Andres recognized the Beastman prince as his target for Teresa’s second Binding Quest.
  • Resior leaped from the boulder, drew his Black Battle Saber, and slashed down at Inori.

Ch. 19Resior

Inori and Resior fought atop Black Mountain City’s walls while Gaston and the Red-plumed Griffin battled the Fire Dragon overhead. After both warriors revealed they had mastered Treating Light as Heavy, the Scarlet Scale Serpent seized an opening to strike at Resior’s neck.

  • Inori dodged Resior’s heavy saber strike, and the Scarlet Scale Serpent fired a black flame that Resior split with his saber.
  • Teresa asked Alisson whether Inori could kill Resior, and Alisson warned that Resior might have a hidden advantage.
  • Resior declared that he would capture Inori and make her his slave, then clashed with her Cross Longsword as both fighters unleashed powerful Battle Qi.
  • Andres and Alisson recognized that Inori and Resior had both mastered Treating Light as Heavy, which Alisson explained to Teresa as a realm that greatly increased combat strength.
  • Inori and Resior traded fierce blows, and the Scarlet Scale Serpent lunged for Resior’s neck with its deadly venomous bite.

Ch. 20Momentum

Resior revealed that he had reached the Ninth Rank and killed Inori’s Scarlet Scale Serpent, forcing Inori to flee. Just as Resior moved to kill Gerant and pursue her, Andres killed him with a single sword strike, completing the second of three steps in his mission.

  • Resior revealed his Ninth Rank strength and slew the Scarlet Scale Serpent with one slash.
  • Inori abandoned the fight and fled toward Gerant and her guards, while the guards tried to hold back Resior and the Beastman assassin.
  • Resior pursued Inori and slashed at Gerant as Andres charged to help.
  • Andres unleashed his full strength and severed Resior’s head with a single sword strike.
  • Andres’s mission progress reached two out of three, and he received the Wind Upper God Talent.
