Ye Chen absorbed the Bitter Bamboo, gained a powerful new soul ring, and survived his failed attempt to explore the volcano before returning to Star Luo City. He then investigated Wutian Town and traveled to the Moon Laurel Secret Realm, where he found the array beneath the tree damaged and no sign of Zi Kun.

• Ye Chen absorbed the Bitter Bamboo, which became his fourth Soul Ring and strengthened his Fusang Divine Tree Martial Soul, while Princess Jiu Jiu remained sealed until he restored her senses.
• Ye Chen uncovered a massive piece of Life Gold at the center of the bamboo forest and stored it away after sensing something inside it.
• Ye Chen left Jiu Jiu in the bamboo grove and crossed the lava alone, but a vision of a Three-legged Golden Crow rebounded him and mysterious energy later healed his burns.
• Ye Chen and Jiu Jiu left the island, returned to Star Luo City, and parted ways after Jiu Jiu piloted a Star Luo ship to shore.
• Ye Chen found the island’s vanished bamboo grove in a new region of his Small World, where Yin Ming gave him seven Rank Nine Soul Tool designs.
• Ye Chen traveled to Wutian Town, heard that its residents were cursed and unable to cultivate, and received a message reading “Extreme North” from a mysterious girl.
• Ye Chen bought the Book of Creation Yin-Yang and a rusted piece of iron, then left before dawn for the Extreme North.
• Ye Chen entered the Moon Laurel Secret Realm, found the array patterns beneath the Moon Laurel Tree fragmented, and searched in vain for Zi Kun or other abnormalities.

Ye Chen discovered Electrolux within the Life Gold, then entered the Extreme North with Ice Empress and found its soul beasts being controlled by a mysterious master. After accepting Bi’er’s sacrifice and battling the Titan Snow Demon King, Ye Chen returned to the Moon Laurel Secret Realm to contain the dangerous imbalance in his body.

• Ye Chen found Electrolux’s weakened Soul Fragment in the Life Gold, recognized him, and moved the Life Gold into the bamboo grove so he could recover.
• Ice Empress told Ye Chen that the Titan Snow Demon King had once spoken of a powerful soul beast, and Ye Chen suspected it was the being that had escaped its seal beneath the Moon Laurel Secret Realm.
• Ye Chen followed Ice Empress to a battle in the Core Circle, where a controlled Titan Snow Demon killed an Ice Jade Scorpion and a black-robed youth appeared as the soul beasts’ Master.
• Ice Empress asked Ye Chen to accept Bi’er’s willing sacrifice and protect the Ice Jade Scorpion clan, and Bi’er’s Origin Power formed a hundred-thousand-year soul ring that increased Ye Chen’s soul power.
• Ye Chen and Ice Empress continued into the Extreme North, where Ye Chen encountered the Titan Snow Demon King and fought it with his Ten Suns Ascending domain and God Slayer Spear.
• The God Slayer Spear crippled the Titan Snow Demon King’s arm, but Ye Chen lost control as his eyes turned black and the beast knelt before him.
• Ye Chen returned to the Moon Laurel Secret Realm and realized that absorbed Ice and Darkness energy had destabilized his four ultimate attributes, while the God Slayer Spear had temporarily suppressed the crisis.
• Ye Chen used the Fusang Divine Tree’s light to stabilize himself and named his fourth soul ring’s domain the Sky Burning Domain, while Ice Empress waited in the Small World and saw the sun for the first time.

Ye Chen returned from the Extreme North, obtained Deep Sea Emperor Crystals, and traveled with the Wu Brothers to their seabed source. After escaping a Blood Demon Shark attack, he found the sharks’ remains moving again near an island whose rocks carried the same strange Life Energy.

• Ye Chen restored balance within his body, named his domain Sky Burning, and reassured Ice Empress that he had survived before bringing her to the Moon Laurel Tree in his Small World.
• Ye Chen left the vanished Moon Laurel Secret Realm, returned to Wutian Town, and discovered that the Wu Brothers’ courtyard walls were made of valuable Deep Sea Emperor Crystal.
• Ye Chen bought the crystals and arranged to sail with Wu Yong and Wu Zhi to the island where they had found them, then Zi Kun told him to return after reaching five rings so Mu En could explain more.
• Ye Chen stored the Wu Brothers’ courtyard in his Small World and traveled with them by ship toward the Extreme North Sea Domain.
• When tens of thousands of Blood Demon Sharks attacked the ship, Ye Chen used his pure blood to make them turn on one another, then continued with the Wu Brothers after the slaughter ended.
• Ye Chen reached the snow-covered island, collected nearly all the exposed Deep Sea Emperor Crystals into his Small World, and chose to leave the buried deposits and the site’s location undisclosed.
• Ye Chen noticed Life Energy in the island’s dark rocks, then saw the dead Blood Demon Sharks’ remains moving toward him and suspected the island was connected to their reanimation.

Ye Chen returned to Shrek, reported the dangers he had encountered, and brought valuable Soul Tool designs and materials to the academy. After reuniting with Wang Dong'er and his friends, he began treating Mu En's hidden injuries in his Small World.

• Ye Chen hurried back from the mysterious island with the Wu Brothers, then reunited with Wang Dong'er and promised he would not make her suffer again.
• At the Sea God Pavilion Meeting, Ye Chen reported the controlled soul beasts in the Extreme North and the reanimated remains at sea, and Mu En ordered Xuan Zi to investigate both regions.
• Ye Chen presented seven Rank Nine Soul Tool blueprints from Yin Ming and revealed that he had moved an entire Deep Sea Emperor Crystal vein into his Small World.
• Ye Chen, Zhang Lexuan, and Fan Yu joined the Sea God Pavilion, and Fan Yu became honorary vice dean of the Soul Tool Department.
• Mu En appointed Ye Chen student representative for Shrek's exchange program at the Sun Moon Royal Soul Master Academy, and Ye Chen left to meet Wang Dong'er and their friends.
• Ye Chen cooked for his friends, heard about their cultivation progress and Tang Sect membership, and then went to the Sea God Pavilion to offer Mu En a risky treatment.
• Mu En agreed to the treatment, and Ye Chen took him through a golden ring of light into the Small World's Bitter Bamboo Forest.
• Ye Chen used energy from a Fusang Fruit to prepare Light Attribute energy for Mu En, but the process made Ye Chen's left pupil turn blood-red and revealed a vision of human purgatory.
