Generally speaking, an Explorer's time was divided into two parts: "exploration" and "digesting gains (rest)."
People were not machines. The latter, relatively safe period on Earth—the rest period—often took up most of their time.
This was not merely the process of digesting gains from other worlds and turning them into resources. Professionals also urgently needed to adjust and relax mentally and physically.
Rest was extremely important. Remaining tense and in a war zone for too long could lead to all kinds of mental illnesses, but those were minor problems. Losing control of contamination due to a lack of "focus" was what proved fatal. Maintaining a relatively stable combat state at all times was a basic quality for every Professional.
Thus, combined with the time needed for cultivation and advancement on Earth, "rest" often lasted several times longer than "going out to explore."
Based on what Lu PingAn had gained from his last Otherworld Exploration, it would have been perfectly normal for him to rest for half a year. It had only been a month or so. If they set out now...
"Everyone has recovered, to over seventy or eighty percent. Give them another half month and they'll be fully ready. Most importantly, we don't need to rest. We bring inns, taverns, and entertainment facilities with us into other worlds."
