Heaven knew how many times Lu PingAn had said that, but it had basically been treated as one of his recurring jokes. Yet judging by the affinity investigation, it might actually be true.
His affinity for most combat professions was very low, with quite a few even in the negatives. The main reasons were "does not agree with the claim that hard work guarantees victory (lacks willpower and fighting spirit)" and "when facing difficulties, considers avoiding them before striking back, and usually believes that choices matter more than effort (again, a sign of lacking fighting spirit)."
For combat professions, your body could be weak, but your willpower and fighting spirit had to be maxed out. What dragged him down the most, though, was his "diligence." Lu PingAn simply did not think training seven days a week was normal. He thought it was best not to work overtime or train excessively—just make proper preparations and contingencies beforehand.
Those who were overly rational and "weak-willed" naturally did not receive high evaluations in combat professions.
"But I... uh, without the Courtyard, I really wouldn't have been able to raise my combat profession that high."
The foundation of combat professions was battle techniques and Breathing Methods that cultivated both the inner and outer self. Those required immense training and accumulation. If not for cheating through early Investment and Adding Points through the logistics Library, Lu PingAn's three-days-on, two-days-off approach to cultivation would never have gotten him anywhere.
His rating in the Life-type path was also rather low.
