"Raise the Rebel Flag."
Was Lu PingAn's incitement particularly eloquent? Were his reasons truly persuasive? Did the logic he presented really stand up to scrutiny?
". But I am the King, the King who has gathered the will of every individual."
You wanted reasons, reasons for war, reasons for slaughter? Fine, he would give them to you.
From the very beginning, Lu PingAn's legion had been crude, unstable, and unsustainable.
Lu PingAn had neither the time nor the energy to establish an organizational structure. His legion had only him at the top, along with a few "Kings" who had reached the upper ranks through individual strength.
Without a tiered organizational structure, all their combat power had simply been crudely divided into legions. If the king leading a unit was reliable enough, perhaps they would organize its internal structure. But clearly, those "kings" had been forced to join themselves and might even have been planning to slip away. Why would they devote energy to contributing to the organization? Besides, most King-level creatures in this world had no organizational ability to begin with.
One leader, a group of thugs, and a vast mass of cannon fodder. It was somewhat exaggerated, but Black Fire's legion was currently this simple and straightforward in essence: a genuine Pitch-Black Crowd.
Their sole point of cohesion was the "Black King," a pure union of power and interest.
They were like a beast calamity that swept through everything, growing stronger and more numerous with every battle. But once they stopped, without enough food, they would begin infighting and devouring one another without hesitation.
If Lu PingAn called for a halt in time, continuously adjusted their structure, selected talent, established posts, reorganized the ranks, divided responsibilities and positions, made logistics permanent, and separated civil from military authority... Just imagining
