When a new batch of satellite blueprints arrived at the Third Fleet's Command HQ, even the well-traveled Lu PingAn sucked in a breath.
"Sakurajima is beyond saving. Bury it. Let it sink."
The backdrop was a rainy night. This obviously supernatural downpour came far too frequently, vexing humans but delighting the Fishmen. In such an environment, saying their combat strength doubled was probably understating it, while ordinary people's vision was affected as well.
The torrential rain was bad enough, but the sea level was actually rising, and rivers across the region were even showing obvious backflow.
Even more painfully, those backflowing rivers were often filled with malicious Otherworld Invaders.
Setting up defenses along the rivers? It was impossible just thinking about it. Those medium and large cities built along rivers instead became the First Batch of victims to be hit from within.
The malicious invaders spread along the rivers and seawater, turning their away ground into home ground and becoming the attackers who held the initiative on the battlefield.
On this latest blueprint, large areas of the island nation had already sunk beneath the sea. The dividing lines grew ever clearer, while more and more regions were being cut off and submerged. If that were all, Lu PingAn would not have considered it hopeless. What truly left him helpless were the Skull Head markers scattered across the map.
"At least three hundred Rule-level creatures. Are these things cabbages or something?"
Sakurajima, which did not look particularly large on the map, had been covered with even more Skull Head symbols. Quite a few were marked in red, indicating entities of at least the eighth rank.
If not for the fact that most of them were aquatic races, Lu PingAn would have considered suggesting that they simply bomb the island and wipe
