Destiny, when all was said and done, was a tool arranged by fate to serve the world.
Many "protagonists" enjoyed lives where everything went their way, accompanied by every sort of miracle and good fortune. Then they gradually soured in their swelling egos, or charged ahead arrogantly until they got themselves killed.
"I build the stage, you perform. Once the show is over, do whatever you want. It has nothing to do with me."
The misfortune of many destiny-chosen protagonists, when all was said and done, came from believing they were still onstage even after they had stepped down.
Then, when reality fell short of expectations and miracles returned to the mundane, merely "falling and being relegated to the second string" was already a good outcome. Losing their balance and spiraling into extremes was the truly miserable end.
But Lu PingAn had long since matured. Arrogance had never meant anything to him. So-called destiny's blessing was merely a state, a transaction.
".All kinds of food, especially intelligent life. It really isn't picky. Strong and intelligent ones are fine, stupid and filthy ones are fine too. Does this pig not have any taste preferences?"
As Lu PingAn recalled the past, he suppressed his overly active Spiritual Intuition.
Having luck that was too good was not necessarily a good thing at a time like this. If he truly got too close to that God Above Gods, then even if the other side did not want to deal with him, he might still destroy himself outright.
And his memories of the "dinner plates" offered to gods within the Salvation Secret Realm brought Lu Mouren ever closer to the truth.
"Fang of Ashen Oblivion, the King Without Scales, the Brain Eater, and the Nightmare of Pure Desire that corrodes reason with dullness and recklessness."
