The brief interlude passed in a flash. The hostility from his homeland instead made Lu PingAn hasten his plans.
Though it had been difficult to write, it was enough as the most rudimentary True God scripture.
"The key has always been why we fight, and whom our blades are pointed at."
For the Holy Army, universal morality, good, and evil were not all that important. The good, evil, sins, and punishments defined by their god were true "morality."
By mortal standards, Lu PingAn's scripture was far from righteous. He rather cruelly regarded life as a resource.
The crusades launched by his legion were in response to others "plundering life resources" and "wasting life resources," rather than the more straightforward crimes of "crimes against humanity" and "slaughtering one's own kind." Even if they referred to the same thing, under a god's definitions, they were entirely different matters.
A god's will and preferences were the "motivation for action" of their believers.
The name "Life Preservation Warband" also revealed its nature. We fight to "protect the value of life," so naturally, we would not interfere with any consumption or sacrifice that had value.
For example, when two nations went to war for their respective interests, it was, in a sense, an exchange of interests. They would not interfere.
But if it was wanton slaughter, arbitrarily stripping lives of their right to exist and develop, the Life Preservation Warband would intervene.
To put it more simply, they would not interfere if someone subjectively sought death. But if others were forced to serve as cannon fodder, their lives consumed by someone else, they would intervene.
Every life had the right to dispose of its own life. The Life Preservation Warband existed to outlaw the evil act of forcibly requisitioning the value of others' lives.
