The first battle ended faster than either side had expected.
When that monster suspected of being a god completely collapsed, the Twin Gods—or perhaps the divine couple—were both a little stunned.
They had remained in combat mode the entire time, taking turns fighting and steadily wearing it down. As veterans of Earth's God War, they had mentally prepared for a two-week battle. They had even prepared for the enemy's reinforcements to arrive, planning to either continue the assault or retreat depending on their strength.
Lu Mouren had even drafted a plan for packing up and leaving if they could not win.
"And you're telling me that was it?"
Looking at the thoroughly cooked godly corpse before them, now automatically breaking apart, even the "murderers" were dumbfounded.
Wasn't it supposed to be a god? Wasn't it supposed to have an immortal body and drag them into a prolonged battle? They had barely fought for any time at all, and it was already gone?
At that moment, the two felt not only a measure of surprise, but also an inexplicable hint of fear.
