All along, what Lu PingAn had envied most was Evolution World's "Heroic Spirit Warriors."
In the Underground World, gods ascended together with their Heroic Spirit legions. The former was fairly normal—divine individuals often developed their own unique traits through constant evolution—but the immortality those mortals gained as a result was far too abnormal.
Though they clearly had the weakness of being "bound to a god," their "immortality (resurrection)" and their ability to "remain forever at their peak state from before death" were simply too enticing.
And after investigation, it turned out that those Heroic Spirits could even borrow their masters' divine power, gaining weakened versions of certain divine traits to some extent. Their upper limit in strength was remarkably high.
From Lu PingAn's perspective—
"A biochemical soldier technology with a one hundred percent conversion rate and a wider range of applications. The soldiers can be recycled endlessly, yet their production cost is extremely low."
Low cost, incapable of dying, and possessing a certain degree of growth potential.
Compared to those great gods, those Heroic Spirit Warriors were probably the truly high-quality expendables on the battlefield.
Lu PingAn had originally assumed they were spirit warriors like "warriors of the divine kingdom," but only after coming into contact with some intelligence and knowledge did he realize how outrageous they truly were.
"How did they so easily cross the boundary of death?"
From the perspective of the God of Eternal Life, Lu PingAn was also deeply interested in such beings. His own warriors could possess a certain degree of immortality as well, but that was acquired through "plundering life" and "consuming life reserves."
Yet those Heroic Spirit Warriors were not only preserved at their strongest state from before death, but seemed to suffer no losses upon revival.
It was not only Lu PingAn.
