This journey home had gone quite smoothly.
Or rather, everyone else had been busy. In Lu PingAn's eyes, it had been a rare, leisurely vacation.
Unlike when they had set out, when Lu Mouren had held all the power in his hands, by the time they returned, Lu PingAn had already established leaders for the various subordinate gods, kin, and departments. Calling them the second generation would not be wrong either, since the main force among them was Lu PingAn's "Magical Pets (children)."
Of course, there were still matters that needed to be coordinated and decisions that needed to be made. After confirming Phil's capabilities as the "crown prince," Lu PingAn began having her work with the Secretary Department to handle most routine decisions and strategy.
Whatever actually made it to Lu PingAn's hands, he tossed straight to Chris.
"You're going too far. Watch me dock your pay down to zero." This time, she was truly so busy that she had to use even her cat paws.
But Big Cat was irritated. She could barely finish her own work, with both the Research Department and Beast-Taming Department requiring supervision, not to mention those "furry children" who needed disciplining.
"I actually have a salary?" Lu PingAn's focus was somewhat off. How did he not know about this at all?
"...You do. When the departments were assigning positions and grades, the Secretary Department gave you the average salary for upper management."
"I'm shocked. How did I not know?"
"It went into my account. I've been saving it for you."
She calmly said something utterly outrageous. Big Cat did not even turn around, seeming to complain about the extra work, yet she was also unusually guilty.
Lu PingAn found it somewhat strange, but ultimately said nothing. He merely dumped even more work on
