To Earthlings, Evolution World's Orcs were all formidable fighters. Mortals who knew a great deal about that world believed those Orcs were vicious survivors who had fought their way out of hellish battlefields. But in truth, most Orcs were refugees from the Surface World. Before they encountered those dangers, they had lived lives even more peaceful than those of Earthlings.

"The truth is, when disaster strikes, the weaker you are, the more miserable you become. Even if we aren't the direct victims, the collateral effects alone—what humans call a chain reaction—make powerless ordinary people among the most miserable."
Su Da Er had seen hell. He had seen fertile land fail to yield even the slightest fruit, and villagers who had once lived in harmony fight over food and water that was never enough. Under the apocalypse, morality that had never been tested deteriorated at an astonishing speed.

Once beastly instincts were fully awakened, the food chain between rabbits and wolves became reality.
