A Library Unlike Any Other

There had originally been a library in the Courtyard. But it had not been a product of the rules, merely a temporary structure for storing Forbidden Classics and the book collection.

At the time, the Beast God Sect's forbidden books had needed somewhere to be stored, so a room in the Bank Building had been turned into a temporary library.

Lu PingAn had assumed that even a true Rule-level building would merely add another floor to the bank headquarters, like the reception room and Trading Board before it. But instead—

"Boom!"

A colossal complex of black buildings slowly rose from the ground.

Its main structure was a hemispherical core building, surrounded by distinct pillar-like structures, layer upon layer, building pressed against building.

Forget fitting it into the Bank Building. With a quick glance, Lu PingAn noticed that it was far larger than the Bank Building; the Bank Building itself could probably fit inside its main structure.

"Tch. I thought it would be some little country bookstore, but it's a proper Provincial Library?"

The architectural model, along with its modern yet classical design, reminded Lu PingAn of the provincial Great Library that should only have come into being in the future.

Perhaps because it was the largest library he had personally visited, this "replica" had appeared before him.

"...The exterior isn't important. The content is what matters."

Lu PingAn walked inside. The doors were wide enough for trucks to pass through.

"Just as expected."

The interior, however, was utterly empty. The vast hall had display cases and reading tables, with tall bookcases and shelves on both sides, yet not a single book.

"...I'll have Marian bring the books over later."

After giving it some thought, Lu PingAn walked toward the empty service counter.
