What was a Law Decree?

Why was the gap between every tier of Professionals so vast, and why was the divide between Tier 3 and Tier 4 considered an insurmountable distance?

To advance and become a true Tier 4 Professional, these questions had to be answered clearly.

Curse Speech (Black Iron) was an individual's malice and vicious words, and its effects were often highly formulaic.

That was, "I first fulfill certain conditions—a curse ritual—then pay a specific cost—a sacrifice—to obtain a specific result—the result of the curse."

It was hard to say whether you had accomplished it yourself, or whether something unseen had responded to your needs.

Perhaps it followed the lingering echoes of the "source," borrowed the power of higher beings and higher dimensions, and imitated lower-order formulas of certain "truths."

This was most apparent in low-tier Curse Speech—Tier 1 and Tier 2. It was rather rigid and direct, often requiring fixed movements and "language"—incantations—and its results were equally difficult to control.

The further-advanced Bronze Curse, Tier 3, had already begun to become subjective and individualized. It often required a certain permanent cost in exchange for greater autonomy and permanent changes.

"So at that point, you become part of the curse."

In Lu PingAn's view, Professionals at that stage had already begun embracing "contamination" and guiding it into their own bodies.

Previously, they had remotely controlled "contamination formulas," which were naturally rigid and ineffective. But once you became part of a "contamination curse," you could naturally control it far more easily.
