"How much longer can I live?"
When mortals fell into the abyss, a quick death was sometimes quite a good choice.
For Su Wenbing in the cage, today had truly been a nightmare. As someone on the fringes of the Professionals, he had seen this "test" as an opportunity, a chance to step onto a bigger stage.
His innate ability was decent, which was why he had embarked on the path of a Professional. But unlike those from formal programs, he had only attended a short-term Training Class before getting to work. During the first two years, his growth rate had actually been about the same as those formally trained "college students." With his earlier accumulation of combat experience, he had even vaguely held an advantage in overall combat ability and work experience.
But after a few more years, he had clearly begun to struggle, while those student soldiers who had once been weaker than him had all surpassed him.
