The massive body, hardened shell, and brute force like that of a wild dragon made these hammer-headed intelligent beings look like melee units built purely for raw strength.
But once the fight began, Lu PingAn realized he had misjudged them.
Boom!
The explosion erupted right before him. The moment they clashed, the Hammer Person facing Lu PingAn blew itself up.
The next moment, several black hands crackling with electricity shot out through the smoke-filled battlefield.
Metal arms and legs, carrying brute force and lightning, flew straight at him. A barrage of detached fists, kicks, and shoulders actually gave Lu PingAn a long-lost sense of facing bullet hell.
Living lightning danced across the rear halves of those metal chunks. The severed limbs could even make slight adjustments to their trajectories, like a swarm of high-speed guided missiles.
As they flew, they naturally broke apart, turning into deadly bullets.
But for Lu PingAn...
"Too slow. And too straightforward."
Through Lu PingAn's "eyes," the arcs those attacks kept adjusting were far too obvious. He could easily weave around them with his eyes closed; even if he spun in place for three minutes, they would not touch him.
Lu PingAn merely narrowed his eyes and did not move. He had wanted to play around a little longer and test this race's combat style, but he inadvertently noticed that even more eyes were watching him.
Some belonged to other Hammer People. Others were indirect observation through optical devices. There were even some whose specific direction he could not sense at all.
Only then did he remember that he was a mercenary, while the other side was his employer. This battle was not an ordinary game.
".Then, my apologies."
Boom!
Lu PingAn stomped hard, and countless blood-red vines burst from the ground.
