Time was always limited and precious. No one believed those pitiful demon wolves acting as bait could hold out for long against predators at the top of the food chain.
Once Lu PingAn's group entered the base, they split from one into two, then two into ten, each taking a different route and direction.
The scattered operatives were better suited to making every second count.
"Boom!"
The "minor explosions" traveling through the walls from every direction could still draw away the few Energy-Devouring Demon Sunflowers here.
But they could probably do no more than serve as a distraction.
"Found seven in the southwest direction."
"Two found to the north."
"Twelve on my side. Uh, make that over thirty—all of them were found under a square table. Were these unlucky bastards having a banquet?"
The dispersed fighters moved swiftly through their respective routes.
They all held demon wolf reins, and some also carried "Suicide Helicopters." Those little things could help them tie down an Energy Devourer once or twice before being surrounded and killed.
"Damn, one due west. I'm back. There are seven giant earthworms squatting here. Don't come over."
However, with the Courtyard and reception room available, being surrounded did not mean certain death. As long as they prepared properly, this suicidal plan was not actually very dangerous.
The group scattered in all directions like suicide squads, searching for the gems transformed from Luca People—and anything else valuable. If they could break through, they did. If they truly could not advance, they spent points to return to Lu PingAn's Courtyard.
Those forced to return could, if they still had the strength and time, take their demon wolves and attempt a second breakthrough.
With Lu PingAn at the center, the Underground Palace map that had once been shrouded
