On his way to the Bright Divine Kingdom to save Qian Renxue, he entered the Nine Nether Kingdom after sensing a familiar aura and discovered a destitute Tang San.

Fang Xuan reunited with a broken Tang San and learned that the Lord of Nine Nether had seized Xiao Wu and planned to make her his concubine. With Fang Xuan's help, Tang San refined Main God's Essence Blood, reached the God King Realm, and set out with Fang Xuan to confront the Lord of Nine Nether.

Fang Xuan rescued Xiao Wu by bringing Tang San to Lord of Nine Nether’s wedding, where Tang San defeated and killed the God King. After destroying the Nine Nether Divine Kingdom, Tang San and Xiao Wu joined Fang Xuan on his journey to the Bright Divine Kingdom.

Fang Xuan returned to the Bright Divine Kingdom with Tang San and Xiao Wu, slaughtered its army and Princes, and advanced to Holy Venerable. As Fang Xuan moved to destroy the kingdom and force out the Bright God King, the Bright Divine Son appeared and blocked his strike.

Grief-stricken, Fang Xuan attacked him but was overwhelmed; with the Slaughter God Hall blocking a lethal blow, Fang Xuan began refining the Main God Heart.

Fang Xuan endured the Heart of the Main God’s destructive power and became the new Main God after the Bright God King’s Sun Divine Fire inadvertently completed its refinement. He killed the Bright God King and destroyed the Bright Divine Kingdom, ending the battle with no survivors.

• Fang Xuan swallowed the Heart of the Main God and repeatedly died and regenerated as the Nine Heart Begonia helped him endure its power.

After becoming a Main God, Fang Xuan resurrected his friends and returned with them to Douluo Continent, where he defeated Agarest and revived many more companions. The story ended with Fang Xuan reunited with those he loved and living happily with them.
