Chapter Summaries

Lu Su and Lyon discussed Antipa’s forest-based Bond ability and prepared to destroy the woodland. Altria released four of Excalibur’s thirteen restraints and unleashed a vast blast of light, while Lyon and the Lady of the Lake began to recognize who she was.

• Lyon explained that Antipa’s four nymph cards shared a Bond effect that made his forest grow stronger under attack and disrupted Jade Grade detection.
• Lyon offered materials for Lu Su’s Field Material, but Lu Su revealed that he had already used it to create Seireitei.
• Lu Su and Lyon agreed that destroying the forest in one strike could break Antipa’s ability, and Lyon offered Altria a sword from the Lady of the Lake.
• Altria began the Thirteen Restraints Release, and Lyon and the Lady of the Lake recognized the names of the Round Table members who acknowledged four conditions.
• Altria cried out “Excalibur!” and unleashed a torrent of light that engulfed Antipa’s vast forest.

Lu Su escaped the secret realm after Altria destroyed the Fallen Cult with Excalibur, then returned to Great Ming with Amina. He reunited with Zhang Jingxing in Jizhou Town, who was relieved to see him but startled by the child accompanying him.

• Altria unleashed Excalibur, killing Antipa and scorching the forest while leaving the secret realm's Space Rift intact.
• Lu Su and the others left the secret realm, found a ruined town outside, and learned that Lyon had helped delay a rescue effort.
• Lu Su declined Lyon's invitation to meet the king and left with Amina, deciding to take her back to Great Ming.

After Kurumi took Amina to Nandu, Lu Su met with Fang Wenlong and Ji Weirui, who judged his account credible and suspected they could identify the mysterious entity behind Guran’s transaction.

• Lu Su told Zhang Jingxing how Greyk’s spatial turbulence had sent him to Great Britain and shared Guran’s information about Tun Shi, prompting Zhang to report it to Fang Wenlong and Ji Weirui.
• Lu Su contacted his sect companions to confirm he was safe, and Kurumi hurried to Jizhou Town and embraced him.
• Lu Su asked Kurumi to take Amina to Nandu and help care for her and teach her Great Ming language, and Kurumi agreed.

After returning to Nandu and using his leave, Lu Su prepared to return to Jizhou Town, but Kurumi asked whether someone was forcing him to go.

• Fang Wenlong and Ji Weirui told Lu Su that the Mysterious Space was the world's self-rescue effort and that it drained cleared secret realms to make card-making easier.
• Fang Wenlong revealed that the World Consciousness had become active over the past two years and sometimes intervened directly.
• Lu Su left Jizhou Town on leave, returned to Nandu, and spent time with Amina and Kurumi.
• Kurumi asked Lu Su not to return to Jizhou Town, offered to support him, and then asked whether someone was forcing him to go.

Kurumi confronted Lu Su about his identity as Lu Xi and his ties to the Spirit Summoning Society, but accepted his reassurance that no one was forcing him and that he would not betray his teacher. After returning to Jizhou Town, Lu Su learned that the previous siege operation had cost many lives and that the destroyed stronghold meant he and Wen Jing would need to investigate again for the experiment data.

• Kurumi connected Lu Su’s use of hypnosis in Donglai to his claim that someone was forcing him, then revealed that she suspected he was Lu Xi because Lu Xi appeared and disappeared alongside Lu Su and the Spirit Summoning Society had targeted Sima Huai.
• Lu Su denied being Lu Xi and told Kurumi that no one was forcing him and that he would not betray their teacher; Kurumi accepted his choice and asked him to come to her if anything happened.

Lu Su and Ulquiorra fought Luster while Wen Jing escaped with Cliff and summoned reinforcements. Altria released all the restraints on Excalibur and struck Luster with its full power, as Zhang Jingxing arrived at the battlefield.

• Lu Su sent Wen Jing away with Cliff while he and Ulquiorra held off Luster, whose charm failed to affect his cards.
• Luster transformed the battlefield into a lifeless wasteland and badly wounded Ulquiorra and Lu Su, while Wen Jing escaped the blockade and requested reinforcements.
• Ulquiorra kept fighting Luster until Altria completed the Thirteen Restraints deliberation and temporarily froze her.
• Altria unleashed Excalibur at full power, engulfing Luster and Ulquiorra in a golden torrent.
• Zhang Jingxing arrived and stared at the beam, murmuring, “Junior Disciple...”

Lu Su escaped Luster after Altria’s Excalibur attack severely damaged her, and Zhang Jingxing arrived to protect him. Zhang Jingxing killed Luster and credited Lu Su with weakening her first.

• Zhang Jingxing rushed to the coordinates from Wen Jing’s plea for help and encountered Lu Su fleeing Luster.
• Luster, badly burned and furious at Lu Su for destroying her body, attacked them, but Zhang Jingxing smashed her into a mountainside.
• Zhang Jingxing told Lu Su to return to Jizhou Town while he dealt with Luster, and Lu Su left with the Ghost Shadow Soldiers.
• Wen Jing and Kuang Shou Zheng met Lu Su on the way back, and Kuang Shou Zheng prepared to support Zhang Jingxing.
• Zhang Jingxing returned with Luster’s severed head and explained that Lu Su had weakened her before he finished the fight.

After Luster’s death, Lu Su received 100,000 points for his contribution, bringing his total to 123,860. Zhang Jingxing warned that the Demon Army would target him and urged him to consider leaving the Shuběi Army, then began asking about the demon researcher Lu Su and Wen Jing had brought back.

• Kuang Shou Zheng accepted that Lu Su had played a major role in killing Luster, and Zhang Jingxing recognized Altria as the source of the powerful attack.
• Zhang Jingxing told Lu Su he would take Luster’s materials for now and let Lu Su choose a Diamond Grade material once he advanced to that rank.

Lu Su delivered revised Demonization Experiment intelligence to Jin Ping and collected several Jade Grade materials from the Spirit Summoning Society’s hidden base. Back home, he prepared to advance Unohana Retsu, while postponing Nylro’s advancement and her Bond with Ulquiorra.

• Lu Su removed the Blood Relative requirement from the Demonization Experiment intelligence before sending it to Jin Ping and meeting him in Australia.
• Jin Ping praised Lu Su’s work, promised to teach him his plans once he reached Diamond Grade, and asked where he would go after leaving the Shuběi Army.
• Lu Su went to the Spirit Summoning Society’s concealed base beside the Master Grade Secret Realm Demon's Nest and chose four Red Quality materials.

Russell completed Retsu Unohana’s advancement into the Emerald-tier Unprecedented Great Villain and began planning his next cards, but terrain materials proved too expensive. He arranged to join the Qi Lu Card Master Association’s mobile unit and prepared to tell Bai Yueming the truth with Kotori present.

• Russell reviewed Unohana’s advanced card and considered how her abilities and bonds could support his forces.
• Russell found Emerald-tier terrain materials cost more than his remaining contribution points and decided to seek work with the association’s mobile unit.
• Russell contacted Qi Ran, who confirmed the position was available, and he agreed to report in three days.
• Russell told Kotori he had left the Northern Garrison and asked her to be present when he spoke to Bai Yueming about his hidden identity.
• Kotori agreed to accompany Russell, pleased that he intended to confess to their teacher himself.

Lu Su and Cui Dazhu arrived in An De to reinforce the besieged city, where Lu Su’s powerful cards and a mysterious Black-haired woman turned the battle against the demons. The chapter ended as she unleashed Bankai: Kyōten'shō, replacing the ruins with a world of blood and trapping Hong Fu inside it.

• Cui Dazhu told Lu Su that An De had lost contact after one of its two Jade Grade secret realms began invading, and the pair set out to assist.
• President Yi Xian refused to abandon the civilians and led the remaining Card Masters in defending the city as the demons attacked.
• Lu Su transformed and rushed into An De with Cui Dazhu, surprising him with his four Jade Grade cards and the strength they granted.
• Lu Su and Cui Dazhu met Yi Xian, who asked them to drive the demons back without entering the nearby secret realms.
• Hong Fu sent his short subordinate to deal with civilians, but a Black-haired woman appeared and killed the short man with a sword strike.
• When Hong Fu charged toward a residential building, the Black-haired woman activated Bankai: Kyōten'shō and transformed the ruins into a world of blood.

Unohana Retsu defeated Hong Fu and rescued two sisters while Lu Su’s cards helped clear the demons from Ande City. After learning that the strange entrance scattered entrants between two dangerous Secret Realms, Lu Su and Cui Dazhu sent cards in to investigate, and Yi Xian soon began to reconsider Lu Su’s confidence.

• Unohana Retsu used Kyōten'shō to defeat Hong Fu and rescued two sisters from the ruins.
• Lu Su and Cui Dazhu learned that the demons had vanished from the ruins and went to inspect the Secret Realm Entrance.
• Yi Xian explained that the entrance split entrants between two Secret Realms filled with dangerous Jade Grade Demons.
• Lu Su proposed sending cards in to investigate, and Cui Dazhu supported him despite Yi Xian’s reservations.
• Lu Su sent Ulquiorra, while Cui Dazhu and Yi Xian each sent a card into the Secret Realm.
• Yi Xian saw what happened next and began to understand why Lu Su had been so confident.

Lu Su’s team discovered that Ande’s secret realm contained a technologically advanced world, where Ulquiorra fought the swordsman Liu Wenyi and forced him to retreat. After Gu Zhi revealed that the Imperial Court had abandoned Ande following casualties in the realm, Lu Su suspected its ties to the Spirit Summoning Society might explain its behavior.

• Liu Wenyi and a woman discussed the Imperial Court’s wounded fighters and prepared to act, but Ulquiorra entered the secret realm and attacked the fleeing Demons.
• Ulquiorra used his Resurrección forms to strike Liu Wenyi’s giant Robot, and Liu Wenyi fled after his damaged sword nearly gave out.
• Lu Su learned from Yi Xian that the secret realm held a giant Robot, while Cui Dazhu reported seeing no Demons on his side.
• Yi Xian organized defenses at the entrance, and Gu Zhi later told Lu Su that the Imperial Court had withdrawn from Ande after suffering casualties in the secret realm.
• Gu Zhi said he approached Lu Su because he was Bai Yueming’s disciple, and Lu Su recalled the Imperial Court’s connection to the Spirit Summoning Society.

At a hidden facility, Lord Sheng and the elders discussed Ye Zhou’s threat and conspired against Lu Su, whose talent they feared could produce another Ye Zhou. Lu Su entered the Ande City Secret Realm alone among the four Jade Grade Card Masters and faced three attackers, as Unohana Retsu engaged Wormhole Ghost Sparrow.

• Lord Sheng told the elders that Ye Zhou was close to killing a Hall of Fame Grade Demon, and they agreed they could no longer repeat the method used with Wu Yun.
• Lord Sun recounted his failed attempt to deal with Lu Su, and Lord Sheng warned that Lu Su’s strength and allies made him a serious threat.
• Lord Sheng shared intelligence showing that Bai Yueming’s disciple had severely injured a recorded Diamond Grade Demon, and the elders agreed to act while Bai Yueming was occupied.
• Lu Su entered the Ande City Secret Realm and found that the other three Jade Grade Card Masters had been sent to a different realm.
• Tianwang Baixiaosheng, Nano Vajra, and Wormhole Ghost Sparrow confronted Lu Su; Nano Vajra attacked with mechanical insects disguised as Buddha Light.
• Unohana Retsu intercepted Wormhole Ghost Sparrow’s ambush and drove him back with a rapid series of slashes.

Bai Xiaosheng used the Tianwang system to investigate Lu Su and the others, but discovered that its scans revealed almost nothing and that Unohana Retsu possessed a powerful Bankai. At the Secret Realm Entrance, Unohana trapped Wormhole Ghost Sparrow in a blood-filled world, where the two began fighting again.

• Bai Xiaosheng forced the Tianwang system past an error, but it could identify little about Lu Su, Ulquiorra Cifer, the King of Knights, or Unohana Yachiru.
• Bai Xiaosheng realized Unohana's Bankai could drag opponents into a world of blood, then recognized the danger too late.
• Wormhole Ghost Sparrow evaded Unohana and tried to assassinate Lu Su, but Lu Su turned and engulfed him in flames.
• Lu Su asked Unohana to deal with Wormhole Ghost Sparrow, and she trapped the assassin in her blood-filled world with Bankai · Kyōten'shō.
• Wormhole Ghost Sparrow found that his teleportation was restricted, exposed his prosthetic body, and resumed fighting Unohana.

Lu Su and his allies fought Nano Vajra inside the Secret Realm while Misaka Mikoto disrupted Bai Xiaosheng’s communications and traced his location. After Nano Vajra was destroyed, Lu Su prepared to deal with Bai Xiaosheng, and Ulquiorra invited Cui Dazhu and the others into the now-safe Secret Realm.

• Altria and Ulquiorra attacked Nano Vajra, but his Buddha Light let him survive their first strikes and dissolve Ulquiorra’s Spirit Spear.
• Misaka Mikoto briefly disrupted Bai Xiaosheng’s signal and found where he was hiding, while Lu Su urged the others to finish the fight quickly.
• Ulquiorra launched Thunder Spear at Nano Vajra, and Altria followed with Excalibur, destroying Nano Vajra and the returning Bai Xiaosheng.
• Bai Xiaosheng retreated to his underground hideout and decided to seek new helpers, unaware that Misaka Mikoto had located him.
• Cui Dazhu and the others struggled to reach Lu Su’s Secret Realm until Ulquiorra emerged and told them it was safe to enter.

Unohana Retsu killed Wormhole Ghost Sparrow, and Lu Su led Cui Dazhu to Bai Xiaosheng’s hidden underground lair. After the demons killed Bai Xiaosheng to silence him, they confronted Lu Su and Cui Dazhu, and Lu Su prepared to fight them.

• Unohana Retsu defeated Wormhole Ghost Sparrow and collected his Cybernetic Assassin (Gold) material.
• Lu Su learned that someone had arranged for him to enter the Secret Realm alone, then set out with Cui Dazhu and Misaka Mikoto to find Bai Xiaosheng.
• Lu Su and Cui Dazhu reached Bai Xiaosheng’s underground hideout and demanded information about the powerful demons.
• The demons arrived, and Liu Wenyi used the Mutual Non-Ridicule Treaty to disable Bai Xiaosheng’s servers.
• Bai Xiaosheng exposed Liu Wenyi’s secret before an ominous light killed him and destroyed the server arrays.
• The demons announced that they would fight Lu Su and Cui Dazhu, and Lu Su told Cui Dazhu to protect himself while he handled them.

Lu Su and his allies fought Liu Wenyi, Xuan Ji, the Human Emperor, and their mechanical weapons in the secret realm. Ulquiorra destroyed the Human Emperor’s weapon from the sky, while Unohana Retsu and Altria continued battling their opponents.

• Lu Su divided the demons between himself and Cui Dazhu, then dodged a Black Beam launched from the sky by the Brocade-Clad Man.
• Altria’s gale crushed the Brocade-Clad Man, who returned as a clone, while Ulquiorra killed him again and then flew upward to destroy the weapon launching the Black Beams.
• Liu Wenyi summoned a Mecha with seven Floating Sword Pods and fought Unohana Retsu, whose power surged under the Seireitei Field Card.
• Altria pressured Xuan Ji, who transformed with animal limbs and used Scarlet Poison Mist to force her back.
• Ulquiorra destroyed the Human Emperor’s weapon, and a falling Spirit Spear pierced Xuan Ji as burning Mechanical Constructs rained down.
• The Human Emperor lamented that the Eternal Foundation had been destroyed, and Lu Su condemned the demons for becoming dogs.

Lu Su and his allies fought the demons as Liu Wenyi abandoned Xuan Ji and unleashed his final ability, Starfall Tomb. With Unohana Retsu’s intervention ending, Liu Wenyi launched an even stronger desperate strike at Lu Su, who prepared to use Altria’s Fantasy Ride Book.

• Ulquiorra restrained the Human Emperor, who stopped breathing, while Xuan Ji said he had never shared their path.
• Liu Wenyi’s Star Pivot Sword Skeleton shattered, and he withdrew his robot, telling Xuan Ji he no longer owed her before running away.
• Liu Wenyi stopped to confront Lu Su, then transformed his mech and sword into sword qi and activated Starfall Tomb.
