Background / History

Fuxi emerges from seclusion to discover that his sister Nuwa has accepted Liu Feng—an ordinary willow tree that only recently transformed—as her disciple. Initially baffled by Nuwa's decision and concerned that she acted impulsively while competing with Houtu, he becomes deeply interested after learning that Liu Feng's cultivation insights enabled Nuwa to cultivate Primordial Qi. 14 15

Although the four realms of Liu Feng's Mythic Method do not initially grant Fuxi the same immediate enlightenment they grant Nuwa, he remains eager to understand them. He joins Liu Feng and Nuwa in discussing the Dao, learns of the Dantians, and begins his own cultivation based on Liu Feng's explanations. 15 20 21

Fuxi's regard for Liu Feng rises substantially after he opens his Dantians. He resolves to communicate with his nephew disciple more often, protect him despite Liu Feng's low cultivation, and seek further insight without openly compromising his dignity as a Martial Uncle. 29 46

Following Liu Feng's breakthrough, Fuxi witnesses the massive anomaly surrounding Mount Buzhou and is astonished by both the Mythic Method and Liu Feng's new Divine Ability. He acts as a test subject for the ability, having his cultivation temporarily reduced to Liu Feng's level for three seconds. 46 58

When Nuwa angrily throws Liu Feng from the dojo, Fuxi is the first to recognize that Liu Feng may have been thrown down Mount Buzhou rather than into the back-mountain valley. 125

Personality

Fuxi is generally gentle, composed, and protective. He treats Nuwa with indulgent affection, often yielding when she becomes angry, and he quickly comes to view Liu Feng as someone worth safeguarding. 14 17 29 30

He is highly curious about unfamiliar Dao principles and Liu Feng's anomalous nature. Fuxi repeatedly attempts to understand Liu Feng's origins through divination, his cultivation method, and the source of his Divine Ability. 18 19 59

Despite his maturity, he is openly envious when Nuwa gains insights that he cannot. He also struggles between wanting Liu Feng's guidance and preserving the authority expected of a Martial Uncle. 15 29 46
