"Ms. Klein, this way, please..." The laboratory director bowed and gestured for her to proceed, while discreetly studying the girl before him, whose expressionless face seemed to be the result of sleep deprivation.

That was the director's first thought. Yet he had to treat the girl with respect, because she had come under the orders of Schicksal's bishop, Otto Apocalypse, to inspect their experimental results.
She arrived before the room housing the test subjects and turned her gaze toward one of them: a purple-haired girl wearing a short white garment, with bandages wrapped around her hands and calves. Fear filled the girl's eyes as she looked at Klein, along with hatred carved deep into her pupils.
"This is the test subject with the best results among all the current subjects," the director hurriedly explained. "Her name is Sirin."
Klein watched Sirin, pondered briefly, then looked away and headed for the other experimental areas.
The director looked at Sirin, then at Klein's retreating back, feeling somewhat puzzled. His instincts told him that Klein had come solely to look at Sirin? And for some reason, she seemed to have known about Sirin from the very beginning. Her gaze had never once fallen upon the other children.
As expected... anyone personally appointed by His Eminence the Bishop to inspect the results was no ordinary person. The director could clearly see indifference in Klein's eyes—not the indifference of someone who did not care, but an emotionless, lofty gaze, like that of a god watching the mortal world.
Though judging by her complexion, it was more likely that she simply had too much overtime work and little emotional fluctuation left.
