Late at night, Dragon City.
The people before the gravestone gradually departed, leaving only Long Aotian behind.
He sat carelessly before the grave, raised the wine jar, and gulped down two large swigs.
"Come on, son. Have some too."
As he spoke, Long Aotian poured the fragrant wine before the gravestone.
Five simple characters were carved upon it—Tomb of Long Wudi.
Nan Feng and Xiao Luo emerged from a shadowy corner and walked heavily toward the grave.
Hearing their footsteps, Long Aotian wiped his eyes and slowly turned around. "It's you two."
"Sorry, Uncle. We came a little late." Xiao Luo wore a faintly apologetic expression.
"It's fine, it's fine. It's enough that you came."
Long Aotian staggered to his feet, carried the wine jar to one side, and made room for them.
Long Wudi's grave was simple: a small mound of earth and a plain stone marker. Nothing more.
Nan Feng and Xiao Luo stepped forward and bowed deeply before Long Wudi's gravestone.
"Rest in peace, Lord Dragon," Xiao Luo said quietly.
With that, he moved aside and left Nan Feng some time alone.
Nan Feng said nothing. He stood silently before Long Wudi's gravestone, staring at it blankly for a long while.
Time passed, tick by tick.
After an unknown amount of time, footsteps sounded behind Nan Feng.
"Daughter-in-law, why aren't you resting? What are you doing here in the middle of the night?" Seeing the newcomer, Long Aotian hurried over. "Oh, you even brought Little Longyuan out. Don't let him catch a cold."
Lin Meimei spoke gently. "Don't worry, Dad. The little one is in great health."
Hearing their conversation, Nan Feng slowly turned around.
Lin Meimei had come over carrying the sleeping Little Longyuan.
Perhaps, on this quiet and deserted night, she missed Long Wudi too.
